Outstanding Cigar plus Shop! Great Humidor that keeps all cigars fresh and deeelicious! Nicest owners and staff I've ever met. Thanks to Yelp, we found this gem off I-270 en route home. From the selection of cigars, beer cooler and great staff, this was an incredible find and completely worth the stop. Great selection knowledgeable staff prices are higher than the House of cigars company Small space however if I lived in the area it's where I would probably go I purchased the 2018 top tasting cigar from them only because I came in to just see the place and I didn't want to be there and not purchase something it was $2 more than it was at the House of cigars however I paid it because the staff was very knowledgeable and took time with me but I knew it was $2 more read more

Great to see my favorite smoke shop has a place on Yelp! I have been going here regularly for a little over a year. The shop owners and their staff are very friendly and really knowledgable about Cigars and Pipes and Hookah. No place to smoke inside but they have a TV outside and some small tables and there is almost always some one to smoke and chat with when you stop by. read more

Stopped here with my husband after landing in Columbus for a visit. Super close and easy to get to from the airport. Great selection, very friendly and knowledgeable service. In addition to cigars, they have beer, wine, gifts, lottery tickets and more. The owner even offered a cigar to my husband from his personal collection. That's stellar service! read more

Had the pleasure of stopping by tonight after work to grab a stick. Nelson met me at the humidor and was more then willing to offer advice on sticks I may want to try. He was not in the least bit pushy and realized I wanted to browse the shelves in the well stocked humidor. I selected a CAO MX2, something I've wanted to give a try. The cigar was fresh and perfectly moist. Nelson asked if I was smoking it here or taking it with me and offered to cut it. Originally I just wanted to make a quick stop but the experience was so enjoyable I found myself sticking around and making small talk with Nelson. I'm often in Columbus and you can bet that this will be my new "go to" place to pick up a cigar when I'm in town. Great selection, great atmosphere and best of all great staff. Stopped in after dinner (Lola & Guiseppe's Trattoria) for a cigar while in town on business. Mid-sized humidor with good selection and prices. Had a very good CAO on their patio area...smoked right down to the nub. Friendly manager chatted with us, and felt as if we were right at home. Will definitely check this out again next time business brings me to the Columbus/Gahanna area. read more

Established in 2008.

How this cigar shop got started: My passion for cigars only took place after I smoked my first cigar, that was given to him by a friend. Not having the knowledge of what to start a new cigar smoker with, the experience was not that great. That launched a journey to discover why people enjoyed the experience of smoking cigars. With a mission to search for knowledge of cigars and smoking, my passion formed and evolved. Which has lead me to starting this shop with my best friend & mentor my father. Old school with new school retail experience, its truly a great combination. We buttheads a lot but in the end our goal is to make sure we make every single person that walks through our doors feel like family!

Meet the Business Owner: Nelson N.

Nelson is the co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of Cigara. He was a former owner of numerous retail outlets in the wireless industry as well as a wholesale/distributor of tobacco accessories. With more than a decade of operational, management, retail/wholesale and distribution experience, Nelson has developed a sharp eye for how businesses get bloated with inefficiencies, cross-purposes and miscommunication -- and how they can retool for a sleeker, smoother, strategically focused organization. As an entrepreneur who quickly built his own successful consulting business, collaborating with "Fortune 500 corporations" to increase sales for his own ventures and other entrepreneur's. Cigara is a wonderful place!!! They have a humidor that is absolutely stunning in both style and selection. But that is not what makes Cigara great, it is the owners Joe and Nelson. They make Cigara a welcoming place that is filled with the warmth of friendship, and professionalism. Unlike some smoke shops that make you feel like they are only after your money, Joe and Nelson make you feel like they are there for the customer!!! Absolutely awesome service and selection! Traveling, I have been to many cigar shops and "Cigara of Gahanna" (near airport ) is at The Top....They have an obsession with quality and truly care that the customer is well served and feels like family. With them it's not fake....their business is their life and you become family! I have never seen owners more caring and obsessed with their Humidor (which is Beautiful) temperature control and supply of excellent brands is number 1. read more

I travel all around the country and CIGARA is one of the best cigar shops I've been to. They're near the Columbus Airport and my motel(many motels, actually) and they have a large humidor with a great selection.(Love all the Padrons!) I recommend this establishment to any and all of my cigar smoking brothers. As the other posters stated, Joe and Nelson made me feel like I was family. read more
