I was taken through emergency to consult to Internal Medicine Urgent Care. Dr. Gutierrez Colon, Francisco and it was found that I had left obstructive uropathy. Urology Dr. Tresgallo Pares, Esteban performed an extra corporeal shockwave lithotripsy. The urgency and their professional work helped me to get better in a timely manner. I am very grateful for the caring people that took care of me while in the hospital. I recommend this hospital to anyone who needs medical assistance. Following up with urologist Dr. Tresgallo and recuperating. I will be able to return home soon thank you to their hard work and dedication for the patients.

Like the majority of the hospitals in PR if being admitted you need to bring your own pillow, quilt, toothpaste, soap, powder, wipes and lotion which I found so odd because the hospitals in NYC provide all that. I was visiting my great-uncle which was very ill and eventually die so this review is about that experience. I stood overnight with my uncle and in no time did they offered me a couch to sleep in. Had to sleep in a chair. When it was time for visiting hours they only had ONE chair per patient so imagine at one point my uncle had more than eight in the room and only one chair. It was torture!! The food was very good and the Doctors were very attentive. The Nurses on staff were awesome. So kind and loving towards my uncle which to me that was big plus. The hospital not only this one but all the hospitals in PR need to be updated in their technical operations. All is still done by paper which I found that odd too. Anyway, I hope that I never end up in any hospitals in PR. I'm so used to the good quality hospitals of NY that I won't know what or how to feel in I end up sick here in PR. My trip has ended and I'm so glad to be back home in America.

It took them close to an hour just to give her some pain killer although they did not have any other patients in the waiting room. The only doctor I was able to find told me that he is on break and we have to wait like the other guy with 2 broken arms who is already waiting for him. When we finally got inside I saw rusty old rooms and equipment not like any other American hospitals but that was least of our concerns at that time. Don't go there if you can avoid it.

They don't inform you of anything that's happening. They do not pay attention to patients and they don't have compassion over any situation that's going on! When they told me that I was discharged from the hospital, it was around 1 PM and they came to pick me up from nursery at 9 PM! I do not recommend this hospital, as the nurse on duty today, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 PM, provided terrible service and displayed a bad attitude. There were patients who left after waiting more than two hours just to receive a simple discharge paper and a prescription. It reached the point where many of us ended up leaving as well.

The. Emergency room was so cold that patients came in with quilts, they had experienced this before. Urine drainage bag or catheter bags were being drained into 2 liter coke bottles. The hospital was not well equipped, and was truly understaffed. The entire 13 hours, I was not given a bed, just a chair. Being a territory of the United States receiving funding we expected everyone to be bilingual but most emergency employees did not speak English. Came back home to do all the workout again.
