Aun así, sigue siendo un sitio lleno de historia, encanto y belleza que vale la pena visitar. Castillo de Serrallés is still a wonderful place to enjoy a great historical tour. The castle remains beautiful, offering breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas. Although the parking situation is not the best, you will not be spending a very long time there, so it is manageable. For me, the experience felt very different because when I was a little girl, we used to visit and it was amazing to see the castle and La Cruceta del Vigía without so many fences around them. Even so, it continues to be a place full of history, charm, and beauty that is definitely worth visiting.

Turns out it's a tour of the mansion and how it relates to Don Q rum (the business). Tour guide was great and the mansion is beautiful (kitchen was not). The history of it and the cost and all the details of the architecture, construction, and furnishings is interesting if you're into that. At the end of the tour is the gift shop and you can purchase some refreshments including alcoholic beverages. I wanted a pina colada and it was terrible! Ruined my taste for the last time I had one in PR. Overall, it was just ok and we got the low end tickets which were 18.00 a piece (not incl taxes). My recommendation is to drive up there and walk around the outside and take pics.

Now, as a "tourist" I visited this house museum that narrates an important part of the Puerto Rican history, the city of Jayuya, and the life of an important Puerto Rican figure, Nemesio R. Canales. This house museum is not the original structure, however it intends to represent the original one. This house contains original and vintage items of furniture, papers, books, and other utensils from the original owners and house. It is well kept and persevered. The staff in charge of the museum was very welcoming and polite. They gave information about the house and narrated some historical events occurred in the house and around it. It was a great experience, plus the museum is surrounded by vegetation and a beutiful view of mountains. I am glad that I'm still able to enjoy Puerto Rico's beautiful places and history. If you life in Puerto Rico and has never visites Jayuya, you love history, or you are simply visiting this city... this museum is recommended!
