Due to budget constraints from the recovery effort of Maria there are currently only 2 official tour guides in the town of Poncé to cover their four museums. This means that 2-3 of them are closed most of the days to save on operating costs. 2. If you want to visit any of the museums in Poncé it would be wise to call ahead and setup a time and day so you can be sure that their is a guide available to let you in, show you around and give you a good tour. Also, there isn't any A/c so be sure to wear cool clothing and bring a rag or fan to help you stay cool in the summer months. 3. The Music Museum in Poncé is terrific and, if you are fortunate enough to land Mr. Rodriguez as your guide, you will be truly edifies by the boys of knowledge he will share with you. 4. Be certain to stay to the end of the tour where you will get to see (IMO) the finest collection of PR Quatros assembled in one room by the foremost artist and PR craftsman Carmelo Martéll. 5. If you can, ask to see the courtyard. It is amazing and they would like to start utilizing it fore music events and play productions. -Don't walk through the ground brush though, it has tons of sticky burs. However, you may find a mango or passion fruit if yer lucky. We considered this the "gift shop".

The castle remains beautiful, offering breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas. Although the parking situation is not the best, you will not be spending a very long time there, so it is manageable. For me, the experience felt very different because when I was a little girl, we used to visit and it was amazing to see the castle and La Cruceta del Vigía without so many fences around them. Even so, it continues to be a place full of history, charm, and beauty that is definitely worth visiting.

Turns out it's a tour of the mansion and how it relates to Don Q rum (the business). Tour guide was great and the mansion is beautiful (kitchen was not). The history of it and the cost and all the details of the architecture, construction, and furnishings is interesting if you're into that. At the end of the tour is the gift shop and you can purchase some refreshments including alcoholic beverages. I wanted a pina colada and it was terrible! Ruined my taste for the last time I had one in PR. Overall, it was just ok and we got the low end tickets which were 18.00 a piece (not incl taxes). My recommendation is to drive up there and walk around the outside and take pics.

It's adjacent to a beautiful church, waterfalls, and all sorts of other scenic areas. There is a parking lot located diagonally across the street from it where you can leave your vehicle. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and really helped make the tour memorable. We learned about the history of agriculture on Puerto Rico, about the coffee growing region we visited, and the process of producing coffee. We only had time to visit a single hacienda but there were opportunities to see others. I'd recommend a tour with Isla Caribe to anyone visiting Puerto Rico in the future!
