Cupcake Flower Bouquet - finished product.

If you haven't been here - stop what you're doing, get in your car and go. Better yet, get on their website and sign up for some classes. I originally found their Buttercream Basics class on Groupon and enjoyed the class which was taught by Rebecca. Then moved on to the Comprehensive class taught by Lisa and learned even more about cake decorating. Followed by the Gum Paste Flowers and the Flower Cupcake Bouquet classes. Each class has been very educational and fun. Each instructor and class has been very laidback and friendly. I however am not as talented as my teachers but learned a lot and asked a bazillion of questions which they all pleasantly obliged and helped me along the way. Seriously though - excellent classes, awesome instructors with a wealth of knowledge. And the store is stock full of supplies for all future baking endeavors! It's like a candy store of baking needs. Go check them out!!!

We learned different techniques like the shell, stars, and squiggle borders, and polka dots!

My husband and I decided to check out the Buttercream Basics class after seeing a Groupon for it. I'd never been to this part of Galbraith before, so was pleasantly surprised to learn how close this place is to Oakley/Hyde Park/Norwood. The place was easy to find by just navigating through Google Maps. There are two buildings. From the parking lot in the back, the one on the right will take you to the store, and classes are held in the left. Checking into the class was super easy. Lisa was there to greet us, and all of the materials (cake decorating supplies, 2 stacked round cakes at each station, and plenty of room to work with. The class was sold out, and I totally understand why. Lisa is amazing! She walked through the steps very clearly and was super helpful when needed. She also gave us cool tips and tricks to make the tasks manageable, AND how to take it to the next level to impress our friends and family. Overall, a great experience. We're coming back for a comprehensive cake decorating class series in October, and are looking forward to it!!

My finished product...lemon in the middle - yum!

This is a great place with a friendly and helpful staff. I sometimes come in just to browse, and enjoy their assortment of cookie cutters.

The facility was beautiful, too-notch industrial kitchen, cute decor, a full battle, plenty of prep space, many areas to wash your hands, and every item of utensil you would need to prepare a quality meal. The chefs were great at helping us right along and keeping us on track. The food turned out deliciously. I also love that they will send you the recipes you prepared afterwards. Highly recommend! Great date idea too!

My aunt and I booked a class for the 2 of us. Upon arrival we were welcomed to sit and have snacks as well as a drink. The cooking class came with 2 drinks. They had fantastic non-alcoholic options. Mocktails that weren't an afterthought. It was fantastic! Our instructor took the time to explain how everything would work and then we were told to find our pre-assigned stations. At our stations, a lot of the prep work and measuring of ingredients was already done for us. This taught me a lot about prep work and successful cooking. I am not a very good cook and between my aunt and myself, we stayed at pace with the instructor. Absolutely friendly for beginners or those without cooking talent. When we finished cooking, we sat down back at our seats to enjoy the food we had prepared. I couldn't believe that I cooked what I was eating! We were sent home with their in house cookies and the recipes to what we cooked. Not only were the food choices delicious and awesome but the experience was so much fun! I highly recommend.

My fiancé got me a cooking class here as one of my Christmas gifts and it was such a fun date…read morenight! There were only eight people in the class and we were separated into two tables of four, so we did everything with another couple. A pro of this is that you don't have to do ALL the work - you can split tasks among people in your group and have time to watch/listen/learn/enjoy. However, that may be a con for people who want to do every step of the recipe themselves. A con to this could also come if you get paired up with people who are taking it seriously when you want to have fun or vice versa. Luckily the couple we were paired with were cool and liked to have fun and joke around, just as we did. Our chef/instructor was Rebecca and she was the best part of the class! She was very knowledgeable, engaging, and made us laugh a lot. She will even photobomb your pictures (she did warn us at the beginning haha) - photo evidence included! A big con for us is that they do not serve alcohol during cooking classes. However, you are technically allowed to bring in your own if it is not in the obvious wine/alcohol bottle. We brought wine in Yeti tumblers and they did not mind at all. However, it felt kind of odd because the other people were not drinking. In cooking classes we've done t other places, wine and beer was served throughout the entire class and just about everyone was taking part. Still, it's nice that you can enjoy some wine if you know this beforehand and remember to bring your own. The food was incredible!!! We made salads and lobster ravioli. It was my first time making any type of homemade pasta and now I'm set on getting the pasta making attachment on my Kitchen Aid mixer! The portions were not the biggest and there was no dessert (I have a HUGE sweet tooth so this was a disappointment for me). Still, all in all it was a fun experience. We will not be rushing back, but we're open to trying it again.

Even the cannolis were already made. All we did was pipe the mixture into them. We couldn't even bring our own wine in to drink.
