Got lucky finding street parking a block away only bc we were there super early. They of course had portapotties available. This reminded us of flea markets which we had frequented ourselves. Remember this is a small town. So don't have too high of expectations! We didn't. It was a good time to get our morning steps in! We did experience peach ice cream at the local Candybox store. There was a bakery tent that had a long long line! Their pastry peach goodies looked phenomenal & mouthwatering!!! Lots of vendors had Lafufus or Labubus & that type of merchandise maybe bc it's the latest craze. There were other unique items too that you have to see for yourself. We were surprised & amazed! Live band entertainment came later but we had other plans. I'm sure they entertained the audience well. My wife even watched the peach pie eating contest online! It was crazy funny!!! Woohoo!

Located directly in the heart of downtown Marysville in the historic shopping district, this outdoor festival honors and commemorates everything peach-related including peach pies, peach cobblers, peach lemonade, peach milkshakes, and of course peaches all by themselves. Since this event was held from Friday 7/18/2025 to Saturday 7/19/2025, I came here on that Saturday at around 5:30pm. Best of all, they offer free parking everywhere around the festival site. Keep in mind that this festival is relatively small and only takes up a few blocks of downtown Marysville. The entire proximity is from 2nd-9th St's (north to south) and from B St to E St (east to west). However, there is a lot to see (and eat) as there are roughly 150 vendors and sponsors that participate in this event. Everything from face painting to a pie-eating contest to live music (with two separate stages) and lots of seating to enjoy entertainment. Finally, they also offer a ton of non-peach food trucks (including lobster rolls, BBQ, and much more). Additionally, they had a small area where children could take pony rides (for $10). And if in the event you need to go, there was a respectable amount of portable toilets available. The main reason why I came here was the comfortable mild weather. Usually during this stretch of July can see temperatures hover around the century mark. Fortunately, it was in the upper 80's during my visit and perfect conditions for walking the streets without being drenched in sweat. During my visit, I indulged in an iced cold peach lemonade, enjoyed a peach cobbler w/ice cream, and purchased a few several peaches to enjoy the following day. When it comes down to it, this event is good (but not over-the-top amazing). Many of the food options are overpriced while the peaches are much more than what you'd spend at a farmers market. But if you want that small town feel, this place will have you covered. Things move much slower with a lot of that small town character and charm. With that said and done, I am giving the "Marysville Peach Festival" a respectable and above average four-star rating.

This is my first time to attend a Greek festival, and it was a nice and fun event learning Greek culture. It was a slow start, but it became lively after the music started. There were booths for Greek products to be sold, but none captured my interest except the wine. To get a sampling of the wine, you'll need to purchase five tickets for $5.00 at the entrance. I bought 10 tickets and ended up drinking only red wine. I didn't get the name of it, but it was good. Bad Yelper! I didn't get the name of the wine or even take a picture of the bottle. For food, I had the Vegetarian Dinner. It was good and about 3 stars overall for me. It's a bit expensive eating at the event, especially if you get it ala carte. Make sure you have enough cash or have your credit card with you. You pay for your food after it's plated. The best part of the event for me was the entertainment from the band, belly dancer and the group of Greek dancers. Will I attend the event again? Sure! Overall, I'll give my experience 4 stars. It was a fun event!

Normally I'd be "Opa! Opa!" all over this festival but the festival was misadvertised as a Greek…read morefood and wine festival when in reality it should either be called Fotine's Greek Festival or Yuba Sutter Greek Festival. When one thinks of food and wine festival, one thinks of many choices and variety. But Fotine's was the only food vendor there and wine choices was limited and expensive, $5 for about 4-5 oz. Even more disappointing was that the food was ok at best while being expensive too. The $5 entrance fee probably goes to a local non profit organization. I don't mind paying good money for good food but this was a pure miss. I don't doubt Fotine's food at the restaurant is devine based on overall Yelp stars and photos but unfortunately the chicken skewers made for this event was incredibly dry and salty. Chicken on a skewer $5- I was one of the unlucky bunch who had the first batch of food that was likely prepared the day before or at least 6+ hours prior because it was the driest piece of meat, even drier than jerky. So dry in fact, this hungry person couldn't take a second bite. Pretty awful. Spanokopita $3 each- ok, spinach filled phyllo dough. Basic. Dolmas $3 for 3- ok, rice stuffed grape leaves. Basic. Braised lamb $9 for 5 oz- VERY oily and tasted no better than if you threw it in the oven yourself without seasonings. Basic. Entertainment- Mediterranean Soul started playing at 4:35pm. The music started late because there was a wedding ceremony next door. They were great and really created the festival atmosphere. Without them there would be no "festival" Greek Dancers - St Anthony's dancers from Reno, NV. A basic but traditional dance group made up of young folks. Belly dancer - Niiiiiiiice! See my video. She also did a sword balancing on top of her head dance. She was lovely and encouraged men and women to dance with her even though the MC had told the audience beforehand not to. That was strange. Overall this festival was ok for a small city like Yuba and considering there probably is only Fotine's for Greek food. I just wished they didn't rip me off for mostly average food. If it was better than average I wouldn't have minded so much. So here are three stars for what Yelp says means average. If they could bring down the prices and if Fotine herself could sample each of her food before serving next year, I think that should help. If she knew how bad that chicken was I doubt she would serve it.

Entrance and parking was free (thank you!) but the parking lot was a complete dust bowl! My car was covered in inch thick red/yellow dust afterwards that inevitably got tracked inside the car too. The parking lot is not paved nor does it have grass, just dust! They had ample amount of quality, handcrafted art and craft work vendors selling a few things I had never seen before. Needless to say I spent more money than I normally do on knick knacks. Although there was only one fry bread vendor who sold very expensive fry bread at $6 for one or $8 for Indian taco (fry bread topped with beans, cheese, tomatoes), it was the BEST fry bread I ever had. It's likely from the fact it was being hand rolled on the spot before frying. Seeing a little old lady do this, I'm sure, makes it that much more authentic and convinced me to try it despite the cost. They had one other food vendor selling BBQ items. I didn't try as I figured I can always get that anywhere. I was disappointed to see there weren't that many dancers or contestants. It was absolutely fantastic weather on the Sunday I went and would have been great for those competing in heavy leather and bead clad costumes. There appeared to be less than 20 whereas I normally see 50+ elsewhere. Hopefully next year they can encourage more dancers to participate. Ps the MC had a great voice and did a great job.

First of all, the parade consisted mainly of first responders, fire, police, medics and other government agencies. The highlight were the Team Beale lion dancers and they were fantastic. The firecrackers were plentiful. BUT they could have easily accommodated more types of participants such as local dancers, bands or community theater actors. It was a disappointment there wasn't much more. It last one hour on a molasses pace. :/ Vendors vendors oh where can you all be? There were less than 10 vendors overall. I felt sorry for the vendors who were trying to break even for the exuberant fee they had to pay to be there. That's one mistake. The organizers should charge half that price to attract much needed vendors that can make the festival/parade much more fun. Otherwise you're left with a scant rows of small businesses that I have no idea how they survive. Most were selling antiques and had a collection of dust along with it. Then there's the Chinese temple and Marysville Chinese Museum and rows of empty dilapidated buildings throughout. It looked more to be a Chinese ghost town of yesteryears. Both the museum and temple were very small but a decent showing to educate newcomers and reflection for Buddhist, considering the free admission. The temple does charge for supplies, but that's expected. The museum asks for donations for entry. The museum used to be the home of a bean sprout factory who had once supplied most restaurants in the Northern California region. The previous owners photograph and many other photos of Chinese temples in the region are displayed. The museum displays the history of Marysville Chinese settlers and residents and the different job roles they took. This review rating is only for the parade and not the museum or temple, which I would rate as 3 stars.
