We brought our 86 year old Mom here at about 7pm. We had tried to get into about 5 others before we found this company. The people here were so extremely nice and very helpful. They went above and beyond with helping our Mom, who needed extra help since she is in a wheelchair. Also, the amount they charged was quite reasonable. I saw Charlotte. I HAD shoulder length hair when I arrived. I showed her a picture of layered hair, the sides and back were to rest on the collarbones. I left with a little boys haircut, so short I could not put it in a pony tail!!!!! it looked NOTHING like the picture. I told her I wanted it long enough to pull into a ponytail, and layered on the top, I told her twice she is cutting too much, but she ignored everything I said and did whatever she wanted. when I stood to leave she opened her wallet and looked at my face, expecting a tip!!!!!! I was not tipping a person who cut all my hair off, ignored my concerns, and was obnoxious about it. she said that she came to work there when they bought the building, and I feel sorry for the salon, cuz they are stuck with her. Cindys salon will NEVER see me or anyone I know. if you don't get rid of Charlotte, she will continue to be a liability. I showed the picture to Robin at the front desk and she just stared at it, and then at me. they offered a refund, BuT that will not replace the horrible service the stylist provided, and it will not make my hair grow back. do NOT trust your wedding day hair to Charlotte, she will have you looking like an 8 year old boy!!!!!!!!!!!! you should not keep a person working there out of obligation. I think she is limited as a stylist, and doesn't know how to cut a longer layered style. read more

I went for a cut before my vacation and was very disappointed. I asked for about 2 inches off the back and she cut close to 4. She kept saying it was uneven from my last cut. I think she thought it was uneven because it was cut to frame my face which it doesn't do now. I think the stylist is too inexperienced being she could not recognize that my hair was supposed to angle my face. At a point while she was cutting And saying it was uneven I told her it's supposed to frame my face. I cried all the way home as I have been growing my hair out for years to have so much cut off and right before my vacation to where I have said for no one to take pictures of me as I am too embarrassed about my hair. And I can't have it fixed or I will lose more length so I have to wear it like this for god knows how long before I can have it cut again correctly. Maybe if there are stylist at different levels when someone calls they could ask what level you would prefer! read more

I had a terrible experience with Cindy's Hair Pros. I asked for a medium skin fade and to trim the top, and I received a high (non skin fade) 1 with a horrible "I'll blend it in" as my barber called it. I'm sorry, I'm not one to roast businesses, but I'm assuming that I just had a barber that did not know how to cut hair. The other reviews seem to praise the other stylists/barbers, so kudos to them. The environment did seem very friendly, but I was vehemently dissatisfied with my haircut. I will not be returning. read more

Cindy's Salon & Spa is fantastic. My sister and I have been going here for years and have always been extremely happy. I've gotten my hair cut, highlighted, and styled for under $100 and I actually loved it! I've had my hair done here for special events too, and i'm a picky person when it comes to those types of things. The owner Cindy usually does my hair, and shes happy to do it exactly as I ask. The salon is very comfortable, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home with coffee and conversation. This salon also does cheap waxing, tinting, and makeup too. I'm just sad that I don't actually live around here anymore, its been really hard to find a replacement for this place!! read more

On Jan 27th I visited Cindys hair pros to get some all over highlights in my hair. Upon sitting in Melissas chair she commented on how thick and healthy my hair was and I told her the redken shampoo and conditioner I bought from the salon 6 weeks ago was great and I had also been using opalex.. She begin highlighting my hair & once finished she put me under a heater, after about an hour I told her my head was burning and she said "I'll turn the temp down, just a few minutes longer" another 15 went by and she finally took me over to wash my hair. She then added a toner. Towel tried and took me back to her chair. After she combed my hair I noticed my hair falling out and opted for her not to blow dry or continue and went upfront and paid "I was in a rush" to get my kid from school. I mentioned to the owner my hair was broken off and it wasn't like that when I came in and it was falling out. Melissa came over and said she remembers me having bangs well that's a lie because I never had bangs and had photos in my phone I had taken yesterday. I leave and rush to my kid and upon arriving to pick him up my friend rushes over and goes all thru my hair to find so much breakage, pieces of hair only an inch long and starts brushing it and my hair is falling out so bad, so I call the salon And ask for a refund and to speak to somebody and was told somebody would call me back. So I head back up there to 3 women behind counter just chatting, and one texting. Cindy the owner then offers to do a hair treatment on me and gives me a tiny tube of k18 to take home and cuts a few pieces of hair to make it look better. I'm not satisfied at all at this point and she's acting like it's no big deal as I am crying as my hair falls out everywhere and then leave anticipating the refund I requested, but nope the next day the card is charged an additional 142.50 for this treatment and "haircut" she offered. This is addition to the 229.50 I paid for the highlights which didn't change the color of my hair except at the roots. So I call again and email-no answer. So now I am out $372 and my hair is completely destroyed and I'm missing chunks of hair. I feel at a minimum this shop should have refunded me and offered some treatment to help repair my hair, the stylist who destroyed my hair didn't even have the decency to come apologize or even look my way. I've never been more disappointed in my life. My hair is so destroyed, brittle and thin now. See attached photos read more

I am so excited. I found a great hair stylist. Since COVID closed my usual salon and I can't find my stylist I went on a search. I found Cindy's Hair Pros. I called them today and explained what I needed (cut and highlights for short hair). I was paired up with Melissa. I showed her a couple of pictures of the cut that I wanted and she did a fabulous job. She gave me exactly what I wanted. The prices are reasonable. I've been going to Cindy's Salon & Spa for years now, and I have to say that I've never been anything but thrilled with the job they've done. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable, and willing to take the time to work with you to give you exactly what you want. I typically get a cut and color and that runs about $70, which is VERY reasonable for the quality of service. I moved to the DC area a few years ago and I still make appointments here whenever I know I'm going to be in the area for the weekend. I haven't found another salon that provides exactly what I want for such an awesome price! read more

I have been going to Cindy's Salon for about 8 years now. I have recommended lots of friends and family to them. I have recommended them because I think that all of the stylists that work there are very good. They all seem to be up-to-date on all of the latest styles. They are always willing to take the extra time to help you figure out what you want to do, whether it is something different or the same thing you always do! I always feel right at home and welcome at the salon. I would highly recommend Cindy's to anyone that wants to find a place that will always put your best interests first and will always be honest and helpful in finding the style you want.
