I spent almost 4 years in braces as a teen before discontinuing treatment, hiding my smile, and doing clear aligners before my wedding. Dr. Miyamoto and her staff is amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Always answers questions quickly. The prices are comparable to others in the area. They offered different payment plans and a discount for paying in-full. The options were less invasive as others we consulted with in the area. To straighten my daughter teeth, others wanted head gear, face masks, one even wanted to screw bolts into her gums. Dr. Miyamoto advised it wasn't necessary and the results were beautiful and took the same amount of time as others projected but without all the instruments. The office is always clean and decorated nicely. There is video games and movies available. There's a photo wall which I loved to take pictures of her progress. My daughter was the most comfortable with her and she adores the staff. Our experience has been worth the money and time. Although Dr. Miyamoto was very pleasant and professional, my bad review is due to the dishonesty in the billing. We were quoted one price, then once my insurance responded with the predetermination which was much lower, Cinema decided to revise my invoice by over 2 thousand dollars to make up the difference of what they would not be receiving from my insurance. It wasn't until Patty at Cinema, my insurance and I connected over the phone that they were forced to acknowledge they were adding extra fees that had already been included in the ortho treatment fee. Patty claimed not to know how the insurance pre-negotiations work, even though she has been employed there for over 20 years. This is not a case of a misunderstanding or lack of knowledge from Patty, we connected multiple times, I presented her with documentation from my insurance, I was very clear to her and yet she kept insisting I was wrong and that's not how insurance works. I am very disappointed at the dishonesty and unprofessionalism. I had been looking forward to a long term relationship with Cinema for my 2 children. For any past clients, I would advise you to go back and check that you were not over charged. I would hate for others to have to pay more than what is needed. Defeats the purpose of having insurance coverage. As it's not small dollars but instead thousands. read more

Not only am I new to town, I also haven't been to an orthodontist in over 20 years so when my permanent bottom retainer came loose and was stabbing my tongue I had no idea where to start looking. I did a random yelp search and called Carole Randolph to which the receptionist, very unfriendly, stated "Dr. Randolph doesn't take new patients." Awesome...What do I do? The ortho who put in my bottom retainer and my entire journey with braces as a kid had passed away so like any 33 year old I called my mom. She told me the same thing had happened to her a few years back and she went to Dr. Miyamoto at Cinema Ortho. Not only did the receptionist get me in right away she was beyond understanding and comforting...not to mention I had called like 20min before they closed. She got me in the next morning and Dr. Miyamoto (who knew my late ortho, Dr. Tracey) fixed my retainer, explained what she was doing, what my future options are, and then didn't even charge me. Kindness like this is rarely seen today and I am forever grateful for the people in that office. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't go here or plan to go here for your ortho work. Hands down the BEST customer service and since I have received so many compliments (not conceded here) on my teeth over the years and Dr. Miyamoto knew Dr. Tracey I already know her work is exceptional. Had to take my son to a better orthodontist to get his teeth fixed again... miyamoto didn't really fixed my sons teeth, it's more like swindling us for money. This place has been amazing from start to finish. I first called the front office last week and spoke with Natalie regarding an appointment on Monday since I had the day off. (I didn't want to go back to my old ortho because I had a very bad experience with him so wanted to try this place out.) Natalie wanted to meet my request even though they were completely booked on Monday so she immediately assessed what I needed to come in for (broken retainers) and asked where it was broken, etc. She then said she was able to squeeze me in for an appointment, asked if the time worked for me, and gave me price breakdowns without me even asking for them. I loved the fact that they were so on top of their game about explaining the process (telling me what would happen if my retainers were beyond repair and next steps) so I wouldn't be shocked during my appointment. I came to my appointment today and was blown away because the office looks like a spa! It had such a clean and nice waiting area and had such a peaceful vibe to the place. The front desk lady named Summer was equally sweet. She welcomed me, asked a couple of questions, and set me up to wait for Dr. Miyamoto. Summer also took a mold of my teeth incase I needed a new retainer. I have pretty bad gag reflexes so she was super sweet about sitting me up and reminding me to breathe through my nose. After the process was over, she walked me to the sink area that was very well stocked and clean! (I'm really big on cleanliness, so trust me when I say it's clean!) She showed me where the toothbrushes, mouthwash, and paper towels were and said that I can meet her back in the chair when I was ready. My view from the chair was an open huge window that was really peaceful as well. It felt like I had a double-win of getting an appointment done and feeling super restful with the natural light hitting me. I was greeted by Dr. Miyamoto who is the most sweetest and kindest person I have ever met. She looked at my retainers and explained that they were too old to be replaced (the retainers that are made these days aren't made the same as the one I had and she showed me how the wiring has changed) and that even if it was repaired, it would have to be mended again in a couple of months. She suggested I get clear retainers since I only have to wear them at night now and let Summer know to get them to me in an hour. I appreciated that the office valued my time and knew that I wasn't able to pick it up on another day easily without me telling them any of this. They anticipated my needs before I did! I really appreciate that. I will definitely be referring my friends and family here! And obviously, any follow up retainer care I need will be done here as well!
