In addition most weekends the also show a recent movie at the unbeatable price of $5. For middle of the week entertainment the also run the community cinema series which is free to the public. The theatre itself is quite old, but lovingly restored and kept up. Singlehandedly the best theatre around for quite a data providing amazing entertainment at such a fair price its within the budget of the the community. Kudos to the Midwest!

Today I discovered that…read morethe policy has quietly changed: customers now get exactly one refill--note the suddenly missing s. Sure enough, the sign now says "free refill." Apparently that single letter was costing the theater dearly. It is an impressively petty way to squeeze a little more out of customers, made all the more charming by how quietly the change was implemented. Meanwhile, the Regal just a few blocks away still offers all the refills--note the s--one could want. So this actually makes the decision quite easy. There is no real reason for my family to keep coming here when Regal offers the better deal just a few blocks away. Congratulations on saving that refill. Regal will be getting our ticket and concession money from now on.

The Princess is Douglas' ONLY movie theatre, and under its new ownership it is finally open 7 days a week. The only downfall is that there is still usually just one movie showing per week, and the movie is usually a few weeks old by the time it makes it here. BUT, at least there is somewhere to go in town any day of the week to see the new releases! No more driving to Casper just for a movie... The theatre itself has been beautifully remodeled. It retains it classic, "old theatre" feel, but (thankfully) the seats, sound, and picture have all been updated to provide a much newer, more satisfying experience. Highly recommended while you are in Douglas!
