The buffet comes with a generous assortment of freshly baked breads. They were still are still hot from the oven. Lots of national dessert called pastel de nata. I ate at least four and probably will not be eating too many of those in the future. Around the breads, had make your own pancake station, bacon, sausage links, scrambled eggs, potatoes and the usual breakfast items. The bar area had chilled sprinkling wines and juice stations. You can also order coffee and such as part of the buffet. My coffee was excellent. To the back had cold cuts and fresh fruits. Not to forget, omelet stations also. We told the server we'd like to order from the menu; it took awhile for her to return to actually give us menus and take the orders -- 30 minutes later our food had not arrived (it was only omelettes). We joked amongst ourselves that they must've been waiting for the chickens to finish laying the eggs! My husband got up to ask our server, who hadn't been past our table since taking the order, if we could get our food and she looked perplexed. When she then brought the plates to the table it was obvious that all four dishes had been sitting on the counter in the kitchen for a long time -- the hash browns were cold and congealed and the eggs were rubbery and cold with a strange flavor. Two of the four omelettes were even the wrong combination of ingredients! We ended up walking out and the manager apologized and said our room would not be billed; I think they should've offered us something from the buffet at that point. I suggest you don't bother with it unless you want the $25 buffet; and I can't really comment on the quality of what was on those platters either. We made a reservation but wasn't really necessary (only bc we were there quite early). We received a welcome drink of their house wine which was pretty good. We ended up ordering a bottle of that. The food was delicious! My main dish was the risotto. We got to see the performers do two different acts. It was different but so cool. PERFORMANCE THEATER DINNER. I met some people and they said there would be a special performance at…read morePalacio Do Grilo so I cancelled other plans and came. It was very special indeed. The location is a 350 year old palace that was home of the First Duke of Lafões and illegitimate descendant of King Pedro I. Its on the outskirts with not much around and you can wander the palace grounds outside before heading in for dinner. During your meal you will be treated to performance art, it was definitely weird but super sticky and memorable, it's probably the most unique dining experience I've ever had. I don't know if its meant to feel slightly uncomfortable and off-putting but here are some things I saw: -A very serious looking dance done with a cheap plastic broom. -A person covered in a shiny metal bag walking around. -Two performers carrying each other and wiping lipstick all over each other's face. -A fully nude man pushing a wheelbarrow with LED bars in it wearing a weird mask. -A woman beating the walls with roses and taking her clothes off. I had the burrata appetizer and duck confit, both were great, especially the burrata. It has an interesting mixture of nuts and fruits that paired very well with it. When the duck confit was out the room was totally dark so it was hard to eat, the only light source at the time would be when a nude performer danced by the table to lit it up.
