I was super happy when I walked into this place and felt the cool vibe. I immediately felt like home! So indoors they have a huge floor. Where I am told is a big dance area. I came here to see a band so it doubles as a stage. The size if very large located close to Vegatta. The outdoor area has heaps of seating and lots of space. The tables and chairs are a big lamp. Nice cool bar on the beach. Oddly there aren't many bars on the beach. All the cool bars are in…read moreveguetta. But this bar definitely has a cool vibe. Which is something that is seriously lacking on the beach. You have heaps of tapas bars... but no real drinking bars. But this bar is a good and proper bar. They server food, but when I drink I'm all british... meaning I never eat and prefer to suffer for it the next morning.

By the beach; Playa de la Cantera, the ambiance is laid back. I also got a Spanish beer, Mahou. Refreshing and went with burger and beach view! I came here after me and a dear friend of mine were completely tanked after drinking silly amounts of alcohol. We met some cool people in a random bar who we followed to the El Gallinero café arte. It was a karaoke night. Needless to say i'm not a fan of karaoke. I hate it when drunk people sing some awful music giving pain to my ears similar to nails and a chalkboard to must folks. But me and my friend decided it was our night to sing like pop idol. I pleaded that "when i'm 65" by the Beatles is the best song I can sing. And why not, i've been practising this song in the shower and in my car for years. I know it well... and can sing it well. So we enter the stage (more like wobble on stage), and the music begins. And we did nothing. we watched the words on the screen drill down... and nothing comes out of our voices. Finally at the last verse, something comes out of our throat. And it wasn't good. I'm pretty sure if you tie a noose around a roosters neck, the sound would be similar to what we produced for this song. And the oddest thing happened next... the crowd cheer and yelled bravo. it was the strangest thing. I'm pretty sure the crowd was drunker than we were. No way in england we would recieve anything but food thrown at us. But now i return often as a language exchange is held in this cafe every Tuesday night. And what do they have here that gives it 5 stars??? Blended iced coffee! yea, that's right. Iced coffee in spain. A big glass of coffee, a heap of milk and ice blended in a blender and sold to me. Nothing can make me happier! 5 stars for the great memory and the iced coffee!
