This spot is nearby the Mestre railways station, convenient for anyone staying on the mainland to visit Venice. The menu is HUGE so you are bound to find something that interests you! I tried the vegetarian bean vermicelli noodles, and I requested that they add some spice to the dish as it does not come spicy. I enjoyed the noodles, they were thin and transparent, and slightly chewier than rice vermicelli. Be warned, these are somewhat slimy in appearance, which might throw some people off who are picky about textures! The flavor was nice, I wouldn't say it was spicy, but they did add a sauce into my dish that wasn't in my dinner partner's order of the same thing. There was a good amount of vegetables, but next time I would request a stir fried egg in the mixture as well for some added flavor and texture to break up the sliminess. While dining, you are near other guests, as the tables are all sat side by side. This may not be the best location to have a first date or a private chat, but sufficient for a casual meal for a good price, and maybe a chat with your table neighbor! This place was close to where I was staying so very convenient, also a 2 minute walk from the train station. They were very busy the night I went, no empty tables but they were also doing a lot of to-go orders and delivery service orders. I was able to place my order and then go to the train station buy my ticket and return and only had a 5 minute wait. I ordered the spicy duck, a side of rice, and also the grilled duck. This place was close to our hotel which was a short distance from the Mestre station. After spending 30 minutes trying to decide what to eat with one of those people who is indecisive and won't just say what they want to eat, I decided to stop mulling around and picked the Chinese restaurant. It was pretty vacant for a Thursday evening. Most people were getting to go orders. I thought the to go orders were perfect portion sizes. It wasn't so much food that you couldn't eat it just one sitting. Considering many of the hotels around the area don't have refrigerators, this helped immensely. Anyway, I thought the food was delicious. I had vegetable fried rice and some egg rolls. I was just enough to get me full. I also thought the location was convenient & saved us from walking all around the town later in the evening although Mestre seems pretty safe anyway. Only one small issue. The guy that was working the cash register/taking orders talked really low and we couldn't hear him, so we had to ask him to repeat everything several times. It was also relatively inexpensive as well, so even though you're in Italy, don't count out eating something other than Italian food especially later in the evening. Heading back to our hotel in the Mestre area and walked past this restaurant on a Sunday evening. There were people inside and we were starving so we went for it! It was SO SO good! We had the hot and sour and wonton soup (3 euros each) as well as the shrimp in chili and chicken in Thai sauce (6.50 euros each) We will always have a fun memory of good Chinese food on our last night in Italy! In Venice to catch a cruise in the Mediterranean. Decided to go out for a quick meal this evening, and checked Yelp to see if anything interesting was around, but didn't see anything. This little unassuming Chinese restaurant was across the street from our hotel, just down the block from the Mestre train station, so we went in, expecting the usual pedestrian, anglicized Chinese food. But this was like catching an eclipse. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to - EVER. The chef in this place is a master at his craft! First good sign was that the restaurant served Jasmine tea when asked. And the owner clearly knew how to brew a great pot of tea. Always a good sign when Hot & Sour soup is first on the soup list. In this case, this soup was on par with the best szechuan and hunan restaurants in San Francisco. Hot, but flavorful. Packed with all the necessary ingredients. Not too thick, not too thin. Spectacular. The fried dumplings? To die for. Dumpling heaven. Could have had just dumplings and soup and been content. Ordered a chicken and pork dish. Outstanding. Portions were small by US standards, but priced accordingly. And the big surprise? Most of the menu entrees were priced at between €4 and €6. The total bill was a stunningly low €22. My family and I were staying near the airport in Venice and drove 15 mins here based on the reviews. The menus were in English which made it a lot easier since we do not speak Italian. The owner was very friendly and worked around the English limitation with us. There were a ton of choices including authentic Chinese as well. We ordered spring rolls, fried wontons, steamed dumplings and hot and sour soup. With the exception of the wontons, they were all very good. The wontons were a little bit light in the meat area. The crispy duck, vermicelli with curry (Singapore cha mai fun)and vegetable lo mein were also good. The chicken with mixed vegetables tasted a little "canned", but still not bad. All in all, we are glad we made the trip to this restaurant and recommend it to others. read more

This place is NOT the place to eat if you live in Mestre or are traveling through Mestre Venezia. Service was terrible, place smelled old and dirty, chairs and windows have probably never seen soap or water. Their Cantonese rice was dry, not surprising since many Chinese restaurants use leftover rice for this dish. The price was a bit high for the quality and quantity. My partner and I had lunch here prior to our train back to Rome. The food was average and not outstanding as some reviewers have posted. Mind you, we are from Vancouver, BC Canada which has outstanding Chinese food. Portions are on the small side. The downside was that they overcharged us for the deep-fried seafood (they insisted that it was 8 euros when on their menu, it was listed as 4 euros even as we challenged them). We also ordered a couple of expresso and they charged us the price of cappuccinos. I was here last month and gone to this fastfood restaurant 3 weeks almost everyday with my friends because the food is good enough but the plates are too small. I must say I like Chinese food and here it's possible to find cheap Chinese food but plates (especially take away plate!) is very small just like some dog's or child's plate for adults. They has bigger plates but I notice people didn't get big plates or at least foreigners didn't get those big plates but because I gone there 3 weeks I notice one Chinese tourist got a bigger plate than others. The woman bring the plate to him. Old woman working there is not very friendly or perhaps she doesn't speak English or Italian. She didn't even say Hello to tourists who came to her restaurants everyday 3 weeks. I didn't like her attitude because she is not friendly. She try to act like her customers are invisible. Luckily there was also few friendly workers. She will keep the restaurant closed in the day time and open at 6pm. They has menu with pictures of huge plates but they give smaller plates. I would give 3 points to food but to service only these 2 points. I didn't find it comfortable because I had to go by bus to Venice for eating in the day time because this was closed and this fastfood is close to many hotels but they will keep the restaurant closed daytime. It's easier to come to eat here in the evening. I don't get it why they has many big plates on the tables but then they only bring to the table the smallest plates just like children's plates to adults. I would pay more for getting a bigger plate but I don't think it's possible. I had roadtrips with friends and after 3 weeks we changed the place. Mestre near the station has only about 3 restaurants and all is only fastfood such as Chinese and Indian fastfood. It's not easy to find good Italian food in Mestre it's foreigners and refugees city we notice. The food is good enough but the menu has pictures of bigger plates this is what we wonder. read more
