The space is wonderful and it's a film hub not just for filmmaking but for academic study, archiving, preservation, etc.

The HQ in Veracruz also functions as a roaster, offering a variety of the state's homegrown coffee, all of which make an appearance at the shop's menu, along with teas, tisanas, a small food menu, and house made pastries. Upon entering the shop, a trio of Mahlkoning grinders impress coffee connoisseurs, each with its own variety of coffee beans; a surprise sighting of a Kees Van der Westen Mirage can be found at the bar, a variety of equipment for different brew methods are displayed as trophies and a well stocked pastry case set expectations for a delightful experience. Coffee is delivered at your table while you admire the pleasant decor that includes books to peruse while you wait. The coffee itself follows the Mexican pattern of roasting on the dark side, yielding nutty and chocolatey flavors in the cup. Coffee is aptly prepared, and I hear the espresso is "not too acidic and pleasurably bitter". The space also lends itself to loiter for hours without end and is already attracting locals because of this feat. Surely Coyoacán will welcome the shop with open arms and is already another decent option in the barrio's growing coffee scene.
