It is not huge nor is it really tiny I would say it's a good size. There is a reasonable sweet and ice cream stand and if your lucky enough to be served by mike behind the counter he is one of the best staff there, always really helpful and engaging. The popcorn and soda stand is the same as always but pretty good - the arcade is ok sometimes the machines are broke but I never go on these so it doesn't bother me. There is a bar upstairs and although that's not always on when it's quiet it can get busy on Friday or Saturday night. If your ever around I would recommend seeing a film here!

Go to Cineworld, a cinema for people who care for film goers…read more I bought some tickets with two voucher codes (which I bought through blue light card discount) but due to a booking error the order didn't process correctly... ..however they did claim the vouchers and when I tried to use them subsequently they said that they had already been used. When I tried to speak to customer services I was on the phone for 2 hours (after being cut off 5 times previously) and in the end I spoke to someone who was as helpful as a chocolate teapot, who could only offer me a complimentary voucher which I could only use when booking physically in the cinema. I am now faced with a situation where I need to drive to the cinema to book the tickets to then drive back on the day of the film. I tried to escalate to a manager but was informed that it wasn't an option. I've lodged a formal complaint..I'm expecting a complimentary cinema ticket as compensation. Absolutely useless cinema company.

Incredibly expensive at £8.00 each if you're not going at the special rate times (such as Tuesday…read moremornings). The refreshments are HILARIOUSLY expensive (£10.95 for 2 normal sized fizzy drinks and a large popcorn? Bargain!). Luckily they don't mind you taking your own snacks in, or drinks from the nearby Starbucks. The place itself has gone continually downhill, from little things like removing benches and projection effects, to removing television screens, turning off lights, and now not even lighting up the main 'VUE' sign, or the signs above the toilets. For the money they charge, they should be giving us MORE not less! The toilets are almost always a disgrace too, not just in terms of cleanliness, but even structurally! A good thing about them though is that the staff are friendly enough, if not particularly interested in their jobs, and also this particular cinema occasionally screens special events such as live musicals, concerts etc.

An alcohol-free G&T is discretely served to my seat-side table. Films are often personally announced just ahead of the Kaplinsky certificate and after the trailers. In Screen 1 the curtain draws and renounces and the lights go up, just at this moment, like the old days. My membership gets me a free supper for Throwback on Sundays (modern classics) and the lounge areas between the screens are worthy of experiencing for dining even if you're not up for a movie. Classic Modernist furnishings align to the Bauhaus movement / The International Style and serve to complement the building's architecture and history. Clean lines. Stylised neon. Decadent minimalism. Quality to detail. Lush textures. Red lights and mirrors. A relaxing atmosphere with wifi. There's a content partnership with AppleTV+ so you get exclusives, simultaneous releases and even opportunities to watch the pilot episode of a new small-screen series right here on the big one. The staff are professional, laid back and expedient. They have the sophistry to serve you when you require serving or leave you be if you want that. And I've worked in New York, New York so I know what first rate CS looks and feels like. There's a smart park with benches out back (there are two entrance/exits). St John's square is like Soho Square in the West End, London innterms of size and feel. I often sit there watching the footy on my phone or reading if I arrive early. It's peaceful and smart at this end of town. The Everyman smartphone app is the clincher. Book your seat, save to apple wallet, add to calendar for a reminder and often, as you leave the venue, it connects through to Apple Music and plays you the theme tune to what you just watched as you leave the building right into your airpods. Compared to the other local cinemas this one is a BARGAIN. even the food is cheaper. If you have children, they do an offer on sat and sun mornings where all tickets are £1. The films are not recent but are always fun choices which my kids enjoy!! i go almost every sunday and cant fault it. I enjoy every visit... especially if I am in screen 11

Cue three of us heading here on a clear (and ruddy freezing) February night to check it out. Now I'm certainly no expert of the subject, but I don't think the UK really took to drive in 'movie theatres' like our American cousins did - it's often too wet and chilly and most of us don't own a convertible. Anyway, Manchester has one! And it's supposedly been here for quite some time. After a few disconcerting minutes trying to find it amongst the distribution warehouses of Trafford Park, we spotted the queue of cars and then the gigantic screen. The process is pretty simple: you book online, show your reference number when you arrive, get told the FM frequency to tune your car radio in to, park up and enjoy the show. You're allowed to bring whatever food and drinks your heart desires (no alcohol for drivers, people). Your entry includes two small tubs of salted popcorn and two cans of soft drink - we divvied these between the three of us along with what can only be described as an E-number-filled buffet of depravity. If you fancy hot food, they'll even order a Domino's Pizza and hand deliver it to your car for you. It was refreshing to be able to enjoy the film, whilst being able to pass the odd comment or related factoid to your mates and make rustling noises opening packets without any fear of being shushed at. If the thought of sharing a cinema experience with *shudder* The General Public fills you with dread, then this is for you. Plus it cost us only £13 for the car, which is a barg compared to the multiplexes. Tip: keep your headlights off at all times as it's highly annoying to everyone else.

This place is trying to be the upmarket place to be in Bolton. It tends to attract 'weekend…read moremillionaires' drinking Grey Goose etc. In fairness it is actually an ok bar if you look beyond those trying to show everyone how cool they are. It is a little out of place in the centre of Bolton and if you've been in more than once then you recognise the majority of people in there. If you're looking to go to an upmarket bar I would recommend Bolton Train Station just around the corner and get off in Manchester!

The music is very good banging out rnb on fridays and saturdays with ralph on friday and darren on saturday who are both really cool guys all the staff where legands if I do say myself but ive not been in for a while but im sure theyre still rocking it. For me I loved making my cocktails and had loads of regulars which is what that place is built on. Being the only top end city centre venue really it attracts boltons wealthy cool and stylish who come back week after week. Just love this place was my favorite job to date :)
