Although the customer turnover is high (think fast food chains) but the atmosphere is positively lively and medium to high end(ish). At this particular shop the staff has been pleasant and (as you would expect in this part of the world) VERY child-friendly. The only downside is the presence of smokers in this mecca of afternoon culinary delights. This is arguably a divisive issue but at some point I personally hope they will take notice of the world having moved on... My only other wish is international expansion for this brand!!!

The chocolate fountain with three options of liquid chocolate is the first layer to enter your cone. Then you can select the gelato and toppings as well. The concept was cute, but I expected to be blown away by the gelato's flavor...but I wasn't. At about 17 euros for four simple cones, I don't think I would return. I understand the fact that it IS in Gallipoli, but there were so many better options in smaller, neighboring towns that this didn't wow me the least bit. To add insult to our expensive injury, they wouldn't allow us to sit at the few empty tables outside or inside...because it was after 9? Also, the gentlemen working at the windows almost seemed annoyed at the fact that people were watching them....as if they didn't think people would want to snap a picture of them making chocolate at a touristy establishment wearing funny looking hats...

The gelato flavors were so fresh and intense that making your selection from the numerous choices will be extremely difficult. They are willing to give you samples, but even that won't make things any easier. You will just have to return to try all of their flavors. Aside from the full, fresh showcases of gelato, they also have numerous of fresh-looking cookies and pastries. There is seating both indoors and out for you to enjoy your treats. But the best part? They had gluten free cones! I was so happy, finally being able to eat an ice cream cone after 10 years with celiac disease! So much so that I returned for a second one before we left the city for the day. The guy behind the counter looked confused, then concerned. "Either you didn't like the portion size, or you REALLY liked the gelato." Haha it was definitely the latter, and when I explained how rare it was for me to find gluten free cones, he brought the whole box out from the back so I could see the brand. 50 millions stars for the gelato, gluten free cones, and great customer service!
