The work began on May 12, but only about half of the job was completed that day. We were told the crew would return the following day to finish, but they never came. After numerous phone calls and being told they would return the week before Memorial Day, no one showed up. The crew finally returned on June 20 to continue the work. During the job, they cut our pool discharge line and another line that supplies our pool waterfall. We were told someone would come back to inspect the damage, but that never happened. As of today, those damages remain unrepaired. The job was still not complete because one tree had not been moved as agreed. I emailed the company on July 6 requesting that the remaining work be finished, followed up again on July 15, and they finally returned on July 19 to complete that portion of the job. Because the project dragged on for more than two months after we had already paid in full, we delayed opening our pool. We didn't want to open it while tree work was still ongoing and risk creating an even bigger mess. What should have been a straightforward project became months of delays, repeated follow-up calls and emails, missed commitments, property damage, and unnecessary inconvenience. I understand that delays and accidents can happen. What matters is how a company communicates and responds when they do. Unfortunately, that did not happen in our case. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Greenwood Tree Service.
