Initially I was thinking of Circle H in a somewhat favorable light especially since they were able to get me in the same day I called (it was time for my sweet baby to cross over the rainbow bridge). The first red flag should've been the way the doctor spun my baby around (after he had received the initial injection) so he could check his heart to make sure it stopped & shave off part of the fur on his foot (I had asked them to help me get a paw print). I would've expected a kinder, gentler touch. The second red flag came in the form of a business card for cremation with the name of Lollie Morgan on the front. Everything was typed but written in red pen were the words "please don't text." I called her and left a message while waiting for our appointment. While sitting in the room waiting for the vet to come in, I pulled my phone out of my purse to take a pic of my baby. I noticed a couple of missed calls & voicemail. My phone rang while I was holding it, same number; it was Lollie. We made arrangements to meet the following day with plans for me to call her once I'm home and less emotional. At that time she would give me directions. We go through the bridge crossing. I say many tearful goodbyes & I run out the door, bawling my eyes out. My good friend wraps me in their arms & lets me cry. Then we go to get some food hoping it would be a welcomed distraction. While eating dinner my phone rings & guess who it is? Lollie. She tells me "I would've expected to hear from you by now." Like I haven't just lost a family member and a trying to process. Plus I have a 40 minute drive from where the vet is. She then tells me that she has an appointment the next day and cannot make our appointment. She also tells me that she called the vet and told them to have me call before I leave so basically it's not her fault. She continues to argue the fact that she called the vet and offers no alternative options for appointment times. She keeps insisting that "they pick up on Tuesday so..." At this point I'm worried that my baby is going to be dumped like trash and I ask her if that's what's going to happen. She has the audacity to tell a to calm down (mind you I'm in the middle of a restaurant eating dinner and no one around me even knows I'm having this conversation). Calm down? Woman, I just lost my furbaby & am now being told that the person I made arrangements with can't follow up on their end of the deal...I would've expected a helluva lot more sympathy and/or empathy from someone who runs the type of business she does. I tell her I'm going to end the call because I'm getting upset and then I hang up. Then I receive a text message from Lollie continuing to argue the fact that she called the vet office asking them to have me call her, with a screenshot including the lovely names & emojis she assigns to people. This is not someone I would do business with...EVER!!! The final red flag? I make arrangements to pick up my sweet baby and transport him for cremation. I tell them I'll be there first thing Monday morning. They open at 6 am & I arrive at 7:15 only to find a sign on the door saying they aren't opening until 8 am for the holiday...that was last week!! I call the 24 hour emergency line and ask them to reach out to the vet. He calls me back within minutes and I tell him the situation. He says he'll be right there. He arrives a few minutes before 8 & hands me my baby out a back door. I briefly tell him about my experience with Lollie including showing him the text. He doesn't seem phased. read more

I want to thank Circle H from the bottom of my heart. I had an after hours emergency and the vet arrived at the exact same time as we did having an hour drive. Unfortunately my Special didn't make it. But by no fault of the vet. He hung on until we arrive and past not even 5 minutes later. The vet was very sweet and compassionate. Mom is doing great, the puppies are doing great, and not to mention his prices are so affordable I couldn't believe my eyes. Especially for emergency surgery. Dr. Montgomery has been our vet for about 12yrs, maybe longer. I don't even know where to start. He's the best vet. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats and he has been there for all of them since day one. The day he scolded me for having my pitbull's ears clipped was the day I knew he really cared animals. He genuinely cares about animals. He will do everything he can to take care of your animal. I don't know what we would do with out him here in Blythe. His office staff is very friendly and works great under the huge workload they always have. Our bully overheated on our road trip... Circle H was the closest animal hospital in town; our dog wouldn't have made it, had this hospital not been in Blythe. I am so thankful for the location of this hospital, and even more thankful for all of it's staff- especially the veterinarian, himself. When we walked in, staff jumped in to help and we received immediate emergency care. I was very informed with our dogs treatment throughout his overnight stay, and I was able to sleep through the night knowing that our baby was in good hands. Thank you to everyone at Circle H for giving us the ultimate best emergency care, answering all of our questions, and reassuring us that our dog would be in safe hands. Also, AMAZING prices. The only vet clinic in a three town radius. I know they do a lot of good and charitable work in the Blythe QuartzsiteParker area . Discount clinics for spaying as well as working with wounded strays and the local pound . Also they are a busy veterinary practice. Luckily they are excellent and prices are fair . Several of the doctors have helped us over several visits ,,,, all of them seemed very compassionate and obviously loved animals . Our most recent "crisis" involved a torn toenail on my elderly chihuahua. Firstly the reception desk was able to slide us in to a canceled appointment slot so allowed me to avoid an "emergency appointment fee" that was very kind thing . A Minor wound , yet painful for my precious pet. The doc carefully examined the paw, then used local pain relief spray to numb the paw thoroughly before removing the nail . It bled a bit so I was glad we had styptic in hand & the doc so gently wrapped his paw in a bandage . My very fussy dog was able to walk on it , so I think he did a good job with that wrap. While shaking her head after partially emerging from under her blanket, Yahzi hit her ear on the table and developed an aural hematoma. Her little ear swelled up like a puffy pillow. There aren't many vets around here and we were lucky to find a great one. Dr. Montgomery and the whole staff were wonderful and accommodated us as though we were regular clients. The women at the front desk were great (friendly, polite and professional) and the vet was exceptionally kind. They were busy but still took the time to explain what needed to be done and what we needed to do. They drained the fluid from her ear and provided a prescription, at a very reasonable cost. He said that it could return, in which case surgery will be required--we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. In the meantime, I bought a No Flap Ear Wrap (great customer service which I'll compliment in their review) online which should keep her from flapping her ears until the damaged one heals. read more

We were in Quartzsite & our one year old maltipoo needed surgery. This was the closest vet we could find. We had already taken her to 2 other vets. The first one didn't find a problem. The 2nd one thought she had a bladder infection so put her on antibiotics. These didn't seem to help so we were getting concerned. The Dr felt her bladder area & immediately said she was full of stones & crystals. She says these did not just happen over night! Very frustrating that our little dog has been suffering for so long & this competent Dr called it right. The surgery went well. We were shocked when we saw how many & how large the stones were! We're from out of state, staying in Brenda when our 13 year old border collie, Sage, took a turn for the worse. He'd survived 2 cancer surgeries last year and had a degenerative spine and developed bone spurs. The last week, he was struggling walking until Sunday he could no longer walk. We knew it was his time - it was so difficult to see him suffering. We contacted Circle H. Dr. Calibri met us within the hour. She was very explanatory of the process and very kind. Sage passed so very peacefully which was a god send. We then met Lolly and made cremation arrangements with her. She was very kind and compassionate. Going through the loss of our fur baby was traumatic and so very painful but the Circle H network was all we could have asked for. read more

We had a major pet emergency - our dog had a seizure and possible stroke. We were out of town and called due to the emergency. We arrived with 20 minutes' notice. In our haste and panic, we did not give them any advance information. They were ready for us and our dog had oxygen and treatment within 30 seconds. They handled the emergency with grace and patience. The entire staff helped us take care of our dog. They gave us clear aftercare instructions. This hospital cares not about your grieving heat after you trust them to take care of your dying animal. This vet will send your animals remains to the landfill unless you jump through a ring of fire followed by ten hoops to get ahold of a lady named Lolle Morgan, who will come get your animal and put it in her freezer and then get it cremated and back to you... on her time. You pay her a hefty fee, and she won't return your calls, tell you where to pick up your animal, and this vet won't take any lick of responsibility regardless of the fact that they told you to call her. How unorganized, how disrespectful, and how audacious to ask for someone's trust with something so dear, just to turn around and abandon them and act justified for it after they lost a dear member of their family. Highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. They will likely reply to this comment and paint me as some terrible customer but the facts stand. Call them yourself; ask for a protocol on this and they won't have an answer. Instead they'll get defensive and mad because you called them out and asked for some accountability and they hang up saying you're screaming at them. Typical. I've worked in hospitals; vets, medical offices ten fold and this sort of behavior is why I left. Not once did anyone apologize or show any sympathy. Not once. Shows you the kind of character this place has. Please don't bring your dear beloved family members here for any reason, as they will not be cared for as they should and you'll likely get thrown around the loop to get anything done anyways. What a shame and sham of a business right here. As a business degree graduate, hats off to owning the worst vet in the state of California. Job well done. read more

Make sure this is your last resort that you have no other choice to go anywhere else! He is on his last leg as a veterinarian doctor! He is overworked and overbooked all for the money. He claims to be doing it for the best interest of the dog but when he has only four minutes to look at your animal and then misdiagnosed him I think it stops becoming about the animal and more about profit.. he overprescribed medication for my dog and died within two days of me giving him what he told me to give!! I beg you to take the time and look elsewhere before you go to that Vet!! The help there is amazing though but they have no say on what he does!! read more

I called Circle H vet. hosp. and was told to bring him in immediately and they would take care of his problem. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff who saw to my Pugs medical needs very quickly, and reassured me that they would take excellent care before, during and after surgery. We've had foot surgery on our dog there that was successful, valley fever treatment is ongoing and we are always pleasantly surprised at the cost! Family and I were on a river vacation and our 2 boys got in a fight with each other.....made a frantic call to a local vet in hopes someone was open on a late Sunday evening. Fortunately for us, he came in for us and took a look at our boys injuries. At the vet back home, he needs to be sedated and muzzled. Not with this vet! The vet acted like he had known him for YEARS and our boy was so comfortable with him. No growling, no barking NOTHING. Looked him over, gave us antibiotics and the approval he was fine and sent us on our way. We expected the bill to prettttty high seeming it was an emergency vet visit on a Sunday evening but price was amazing! I know this review is 3 years past my visit at the Circle H Veterinary Hospital but the staff remains in my heart. My Mom's 11 year old home-trained & certified Service Dog, an Australian Shepherd named Guess, was diagnosed with cancer 3 years prior. (After suddenly loosing his brother, Baloo, to a ruptured tumor, and all of us suffering under the loss, he naturally gravitated to becoming a Service Dog to both Mom and me.) He loved his job so much retirement was not an option in his heart. Even when I was training another dog, Fudge, to be my service dog, Guess proudly took on the roll as the Service Dog mentor. He loved what he did so much that he would sometimes help strangers out or automatically start teaching other people's dogs and they were surprised and amazed; and he even learned to load a washing machine and dryer! We did draw the line at him doing the dishes though. We were living in Az as his life drew to a close; the only thing keeping him alive was willpower. He knew we needed him and he didn't want to let us down... he couldn't eat or drink or take himself to the bathroom anymore but every morning when we would open the trailer door he would get up and wobble to the doorway and flop down to keep watch over us and it took all his strength to do it. We kept him hydrated and and as comfortable as possible expecting him to die at home, but he just hung on for us and we couldn't stand to see him suffer like that. I checked out the local veterinarians and was appalled by the uncaring vet clinics I spoke with; they responded with a cold- no you can't be in the room when we euthanize him even though he's a Service Dog to a 2 week wait for the euthanasia... if he's still alive by then! I finally started looking in Ca because we were fairly close to the border. I finally called the Circle H Veterinary Hospital and they told me to bring him in. It was a bit of a rough ride getting there but well worth the compassion and dignity they gave my dog, my Mom and me! When Mom and I carried him in on a blanket (which we'd been using for a few days already) and filled out the paperwork, they took us to a room and let us say our goodbyes and let me hold him while they gave him 1 shot (he was so close to death by this point he didn't need 2). They had enough compassion to know that a Service Dog isn't just a pet and, even after he was gone, they told me to take all the time I needed. I appreciate not being rushed out of the room to have it open for the next patient. Pets are a part of the family which is a beautiful thing, but a Service Dog actually becomes a part of the one who needs him... he becomes what is needed to help his handler function in the home and in society and find a sense of emotional balance and purpose in spite of limitations/disabilities! The bond is unfathomable! When a Service Dog is gone it's like loosing the bigger and better part of yourself. Guess lived a full and dignified life, and he loved his work, and the Circle H allowed for Guess to die with his dignity, and ours, in tact. When it was all over the bill was a bit cheaper than what was quoted on the phone and they got me in touch with a wonderful lady from a pet crematorium. The friend we bought him from said if we ever couldn't keep the 2 dogs we were to let her know and she would welcome them back. Well, we had a very good life with both dogs but as we're living on the road a lot we didn't have a plot to bury them in or space in the trailer to keep their ashes so when his sibling died of cancer, 3 years earlier, we sent his ashes and Service Dog Certificate back to his birth "home" and decided to send Guess "home" as well; there was a plot there just for the family pets and we felt this was the most loving thing to do. The gal from the crematorium didn't treat us as if we were weird or crazy because it's so expensive for private cremation; rather she too treated us with dignity and when he was ready for "home" she double checked the address and sent him off in our behalf. This way Guess' birth family could have a last share in how much their boys were loved and appreciated and to share in feeling proud that their/our boys lived a worthwhile life. A few weeks after our visit to Circle H we received a sympathy card signed by all the staff, and, if I recall correctly, their birth family received one too which was extra kind! I have moved a few times since and I am no longer near the Circle H, but I hope to find a clinic nearby that is reasonably priced and has the same level of compassion that the Circle H had. Thank you all for caring so much and for allowing Guess the dignity he deserved in the last moments of his life! read more
