Compassionate Grooming That Cares About Your Pet's Limits I brought my cat Ellie to Yuppie Puppies after she got badly matted from the summer heat. Combing was out of the question, she needed a full cut to feel better. Mo (the owner, I believe) worked with her directly and did a fantastic job. What really stood out to me was Mo's kindness and professionalism. She started a full grooming session but could tell Ellie had reached her limit. Instead of pushing her through a bath just for the sake of completing it, Mo stopped and prioritized Ellie's comfort. That kind of care means a lot. She gave Ellie a clean body trim while leaving the head and tail alone, those areas didn't need work, and Mo clearly knows how to keep things stress-free. Ellie wasn't thrilled about it at first (you should've seen her face), but by the next day, she was clearly happier without all that matted fur weighing her down. My other cats gave her the most dramatic side-eyes for a full day like, "Who are you and what did you do with Ellie?" Yuppie Puppies earned my trust completely. I used to bring my dog here since Paul has always been so nice and helped us out when we needed help with my dog. But the lady that works there with him is extremely rude and would always say that grooming my dog was a nightmare. I always felt bad leaving him there with her and dreaded having to pick him up and just listen to her complain about how grooming my dog was a nightmare. When ever Paul would groom out dog he always said he was a good boy and his prices are always about $10-15 dollars less then the lady. I feel bad for the dogs that they have on display in the shop. They look so sad There is also this storm urine smell that I think comes from those dogs on display. If it was not for that horrible lady I would still bring my dog here since Paul was always so nice. If you want really reasonable prices and nice service make sure your appointment is with Paul and not with the lady. I will still give this play a five star ONLY because I really like the service that Paul provides. read more

They're usually very busy and booked for days at a time, but if you really need your dog groomed the same day, explain to them that you're in a hurry and they'll try their best to squeeze you in. Walking into a store that is seemingly empty and so dark you can barely see what they're selling isn't the best way to start off a business. The place seriously needed some cleaning (used puppy pee-pads littered in corners and under the housing containers, an awful smell that instantly made me want to up-chuck), even a little straightening up would've done this place miracles, even more so considering that they're housing pets that cannot clean up after themselves. Upon seeing the condition the animals were in I immediately felt terrified for the animal's future. Personally, I wouldn't EVER buy from their store. Was recommended this shop by my co worker and wow what a mistake that was.. took my pug puppy in to get his nails trimmed and it was an older lady who assisted us. OK let me start by the appearance. The minute I opened the door I smelled this nasty odor, there was tons of fur and hair cluttered by the windows and shelves.. hasn't been cleaned in forever I can imagine. Next, there were some French bulldogs who looked sooo sad with red eyes I just wanted to adopt them all :( poor babies.. really small and outdated so I was already skeptical. Then, my dog was too so he was squirming and she asked me to go back there to help him from squirming. She ended up cutting his nail too short in which he yelped AND bled.. she stuck his paw in some powder and played it off like it was no big deal. I kept saying to just stop and we are fine to leave since clearly it wasn't working out.. she insisted she could finish. Yes, she was a nice lady but I will never be going back nor would I recommend. The dogs are in HORRIBLE conditions. Plenty of them are in such need of a hair cut that you can't even see their faces! One of the puppies scratched at the window and his nails were WAY too long its disgusting. I asked how much and a lot of these dogs are priced at $2,000! Then I asked if they're AKC registered, and they are NOT. HOW ARE YOU CHARGING $2,000 WITHOUT LEGIT AKC REGISTRATION. PUPPYMILL RADAR BEEPING. Do NOT be fooled by the cute puppies, these are dogs unhealthily bred (most likely premature) to look tiny, many of them will have you going to the vet and waste even more money. read more

Went in to see owner about a job (I've been a groomer for 30 years and owned a high end, award winning salon in Nashville.) I was appalled by the condition of this store-smelled, dirty, and cluttered. Had puppies in there that were adolescent, and looked terrified. Owner did not introduce himself, and talked to me like I was wasting his time. No smile, no professionalism whatsoever. We had ended our conversation, and I went to go ask him another question and he just walked away from me. To be honest, I don't even know what I was thinking going in- looked at their Facebook page and couldn't figure out why they didn't have pictures of the inside of the shop. Truly a great pet store with an owner that is very knowledgeable. He takes his time to answer any questions and takes the time to make sure that he doesn't seem to rush a sale. I bought my frenchie from him a few years ago, and to this day, he is always helpful anytime I have any questions on tranining, diet options, etc. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about, but maybe they were in the store looking for a cheap deal. This pet store takes care of the puppies and makes sure that they are provided a good home. Some of the breeds they carry are on the expensive side, but it's worth the peace of mind that they are healty puppies that are taken care of. read more
