But while staying here, I do stop in to mosey around and see what products/items this location offers that's unique to other locations. The difference is they have some LSU memorabilia and a few Louisiana condiments and beverages you can't find elsewhere. As always, there's all the grocery aisles which consist of the bulk items from the deli and bakery. And of course, those hot items such as the rotisserie chicken and rack of ribs. Cold items including the wraps, cocktail shrimp, salads, and the ready-to-eat meals adorn this place too. I'll sometimes grab one of the meals and let it last for days whenever I'm on travel and staying in one of the hotels around. Since this Costco has been open for several years, it's evident there's some wear and tear around the warehouse. The parking lot can be a bit dirty as well so check your surroundings when here.

Don't expect friendly employees, but they aren't rude either. They are just...there. I always shop at Dollar General before I go grocery shopping at Matherne's, Winn-Dixie, or Costco...because if I can get it at Dollar General it WILL be cheaper than those other stores.

I live next door so the convenience is out of this world. They have an incredible snack selection and I can always count on finding my Razzleberry Peace Tea here. They're also actually sort of famous in this area of Baton Rouge for the hot lunches they sell. Chicken, biscuits, sandwiches. They've had to set up a few tables outside because so many people who work in this area stop by for lunch. They've made a name for themselves and I couldn't be happier for them!

You have to get there on the day they are serving them right at opening time or they will be gone in a hot second. They are as moist and tender as pulling apart a hamburger. Perfect breading, perfect spice. The center gristle (rock pouch lining) has been cutaway and it is pure meat. They are more along the line of a broasted gizzard then purely fried. Habitually they roll up at 4:35-4:45. For years some of us customers have patronized Popingo's for our breakfast needs in the morning before heading to work. Time is important. These new owners seem to not give a damn about time. So, it may be time to take my/your/our business elsewhere.
