My bank assured me this is Harris Teeter policy but the person at corporate said it is my banks policy. The associate at my bank took the trouble of telling me which stations do not put a hold on MY MONEY so Harris Teeter corporate lies. Thier employee told me "Well, that's what they told us to say". before she put me on hold and hung up. I called back of course and they assure me a suoervisor will be calling me back . They have gloves so you don't have to touch the pump or keys with your hands. They keep this location pretty free of trash and clean. It has a restroom and attendants to assist with purchases of snacks. This has been my go to place to get gas for a while. It's never too crowded and they usually don't run out of gas. It is close to shops and the highway. Highly recommended.

I never knew…read moreHaw River, a town which is located in Alamance County, existed until stopping to get gas here. It's named after the nearby Haw River which you cross over when riding on I-40/I-85. This Pilot is located just off the aforementioned interstate, exit 150. It's roughly halfway between the Triad and the Triangle. Pilot and Flying J Travel Centers (same company) are more like truck stops and comparable to Love's Travel Stops, as opposed to QuikTrip and Sheetz stores, with convenience stores that offer much more than just refreshments. Oftentimes, fast food and other chain restaurants will be on-site. In the case of this Pilot, there's a Dairy Queen and Wendy's attached to the store. Across the street, there's a Flying J with a Denny's connected to it. I just stopped to fill up on gas on my way to Chapel Hill from High Point. The gas station at this Pilot has eight pumps. I used pump #4 and it was in good condition, from the screens to the handle to the buttons. The paper towel dispenser was stocked and my paper receipt printed out clearly. The price of the gas (premium) was not as good as the prices I paid immediately preceding this fill-up at places like the Costco in Durham, QTs in Georgia and South Carolina, and a Kroger in Georgia. Compared to those places, the price for premium gas here was anywhere from $0.13 to $0.39 higher per gallon. At the same time, I didn't feel that the price was unreasonable, just more on the pricey side. I'd stop here again if I had to. This is Pilot store #6955.

Strike up a conversation with the manager. His jokes will make you chuckle. He is super friendly. Frank's is now a Citgo affiliate, so you can enjoy the Citgo gas rewards. You are able to pay at the pump, but we really love to go inside and grab a treat or three lol. This is a small location so space is tight. This is one of those in and out type places. They have an ice cream case and most of your convenient store goodies. Grab some lotto tickets while you're in there. They sell bags of ice and beer products. Cards and cash are accepted.

Gas was $3.21 a gallon. Shell is the gasoline provider. Upside had an offer for $0.07 cash back. Since I used my $0.05 cent off Shell fuel rewards points, I'll only get $0.02 cent cash back per gallon. I used my card and paid at the pump. While pumping, I noticed that pump #2 is "The Giving Pump" where they give back to Big Brothers Big Sisters when people use that pump. I'm a volunteer with the agency. Had I noticed that before I started pumping, I definitely would've used that pump instead. I ended up pumping a little over 12 gallons. I had no issues during visit and I didn't go inside.
