You can save up to 10cents. This station was the cheapest in the area and much cheaper than around my home for sure. However, I did not notice before stopping, there is a price for cash and a price for credit. I hate when gas stations do that! I always pay credit so I had to pay a little more. Something went wrong with the pump and it selected premium instead of regular. I couldn't figure out how to cancel. So I went inside. I explained the situation to the lady - what a grouch. She basically told me that I musta picked it and that's the only way that could have happened. The man then stepped in and was quite helpful. He explained that perhaps as I was putting the hose into the gas tank that the hose hit the button. Ah yes, that could definitely be it. He said that it would reset, that I could start all over again, and still use my Kroger points. He even came outside and made sure everything was OK. I stopped by this QT to fill up after visiting nearby Smoke Rise Country Club. In general, I'm a fan of QTs because they have reasonably priced Top Tier gas, plenty of pumps, and relatively clean gas stations and convenience stores. This is an older QT. You can tell by the design of the building. I guesstimate it's been around at least 10 years, maybe double. However, even the older QT stores have been retrofitted over the years to feature the nicer "QT Kitchens" brand food and drink including this one. There are 24 pumps at this station. I used pump 8 and it was in OK condition. It was showing its age as the displays were hard to read. I couldn't tell if one of the digits in the price was a 5 or a 6 -- the effects of LCD burn-in. Like all QTs, this one is open 24/7 and has free air for your tires.

It opened in April 2014. It's part of a bigger, several-years-long construction plan, which includes the Zaxby's next door, to develop all the red, barren land in the immediate block. RaceTrac, which is headquartered in Atlanta, is the only convenience store and gas station chain that can really compete against QuikTrip, which, while headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, rules the metro Atlanta market. These RT6K stores are great. Like QT's current gen stores, they're big, bright, modern, and clean. They're open 24/7, offer a bevy of food, drink, and retail options, and are outfitted with a crew of uniformed employees. A few things that set RaceTrac apart from QT: (1) RaceTrac has both indoor and outdoor seating. QT only has outdoor seating. (2) RaceTrac has Swirl World, a self-serve frozen yogurt bar. QT does not. However, I have to caveat #2 -- the Swirl World machines were out of operation at this location during my visit. There was a sign posted that said they would be "swirling" again soon. (3) They offer fresh, hot, boiled peanuts in two flavors, original and Cajun, for $1.99 for 16 oz. and $2.99 for 32 oz. QT doesn't have fresh boiled peanuts. The gas station is spacious with easy in-and-out access from Jimmy Carter Blvd. There are 18 pumps. All have E-85 flex fuel and I believe all also have diesel. The gas prices are competitive. Like all businesses, RaceTrac isn't perfect. Two places where QT wins are: (1) Free air. QT offers free air for your tires. RaceTrac doesn't. You have to pay. (2) Top Tier detergent gasoline. QT uses Top Tier fuel. RaceTrac doesn't. Regardless, this is still a good gas station.
