I can honestly say it won't be long before I'm back. Who doesn't love a diner that serves up breakfast all day long, if you want it? Tonight I was in the mood to try their fried mullet, and was not disappointed. Others at our table had The Pig burger, and grilled Mahi, and all were happy with their choices. I had a side of the fresh mango salad, which was a treat. The place has been open for decades, and the signs and wall ornaments reflect it, just a fun place with the most attentive servers you'll ever find. I'll be recommending Jerry's to everyone i know. See you there...

As always I get a fried grouper sandwich with three fried shrimp added to the sandwich. Anne gets the fried grouper fingers and onion rings. Absolute perfection. I love that the sandwich comes on a soft hamburger bun so you don't have to deal with a hard crusted roll like on a Po Boy. I add one serving of tartar sauce to the sandwich. I order fries, not because I want fries, but because I need a carrier for Jerry's dressing. Anne's grouper fingers were perfectly fried as were the onion rings. If you want a hoot ask Grok if it has the recipe for Jerry's dressing. It doesn't as the secret has been carefully preserved for all these years. But the response is so great. Grok knows stuff. I have not looked at a menu for a while now as we know what we want. But I noticed today that the printed menu is apparently new and appears to include a way upscaled game in its offerings. Have loved this joint for over 65 years now.

Brown Bagger Food Truck Pensacola's brown‑paper‑bagged…read morebeauty of burger bliss man, lemme tell ya, nothing hits quite like a food truck burger when the spirit calls for something honest, greasy, and downright soulful. It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger. It ain't just a burger it's a roadside sermon in a bag, preached by a man who knows his beef and your funny bone. Amen.

I got the Jumping Jack, which comes loaded with plenty of jalapeños for kick. Not overloaded with mountains of lettuce or tomato; just enough to complement the burger and convince you that it's kinda healthy...-ish. Fries are perfectly crispy , and everything came out quickly. Great patio seating for a nice afternoon or evening with family and friends.

You know you're not in South Florida anymore when you spot that bright orange Whataburger sign…read moreglowing like a fast-food lighthouse calling you home. Since we don't have Whataburger down in my neck of the woods, I treat every visit like a pilgrimage -- a sacred journey to the land of solid American burgers and spicy ketchup that should honestly be bottled and sold as cologne. This particular stop was on East Gregory Street in Pensacola, and let me tell you... the experience started before I even made it through the door. Nothing says "authentic American dining" quite like pulling up to see five teenagers being arrested outside. Lights flashing, officers everywhere, the whole scene looked like an episode of COPS: Fast Food Edition. But did that scare me away? Absolutely not. I had traveled too far, dreamed too long, and waited too patiently for that orange-and-white beacon. I was going in -- call it bravery, call it hunger, call it questionable life choices, but I marched through those doors ready for greatness between two buns. And honestly? It delivered. The burger: good. Solid. Not "best of my life," but absolutely the dependable, comforting, satisfyingly greasy masterpiece I came for. The fries: crisp and plentiful. The drink options: a soda fountain wonderland. And the spicy ketchup... the true reason I risked potential witness-statement duty. That stuff is a national treasure. Despite the pre-meal entertainment outside, everything inside was quick, clean, safe, and exactly what I wanted from a Whataburger experience. Four stars. I'd go back -- preferably when the only thing getting arrested is my calorie count.

I'm here for another month so after trying Super Chix I think I'll come back again. I tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and although it's not Prince's or Hattie B's (Nashville hot chicken institutions) it's a tasty enough sandwich! On your first visit you get a choice of free custard. My fave custard is Rita's so that's how i measure...the custard tastes more like ice cream. Definitely missing that mouthfeel i crave in custard. The chocolate is better than the vanilla in most custard places outside of Rita's and it's the same at Super Chix. Got a mintOreo fusion instead of a drink and it did remind me of McFlurry from way back. Cajun fries reminds me of the ones from Steak 'n Shake. I got it to go. It was slow coming out but the food was hot and fresh. There's also an impressive sauce station. Sauces were all pretty good. I'll update stars if necessary the next time as I'll try something different.
