I got my husband 5 laps in a Ferrari for his birthday via Groupon. You can schedule a time slot online, but be forewarned that it took about 1.5 hours after his scheduled time to get into a Ferrari. They definitely have a well-oiled machine here. You sign in and accept or decline extra insurance before you actual see the track - and realize that you really do not have to get extra insurance because there's no way you're going to lose control of the car. Their professional photos (at extra cost) are nice, but if you come equipped with your own camera and are ready to shoot, you can easily get a similar photo. There's a mini safety discussion - well before you actually get into a car - where they try to off one of the less desired cars onto you so your wait is shorter. (It works for some.) In the car, there is someone else driving with you, and he is doing the paddle shifting for you. The whole experience goes by in a wink. I think my husband would definitely rate his overall experience higher than I am, but I had different expectations about the spectator experience. Be ready to wait. Be in the moment as much as you can, because it's over very quickly. read more

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Connecticut hosts a variety of "Exotic" and "Corvette" experiences thru their in-house company. They also do a Miata Race School, complete with the option to rent one of their Spec Miatas for the day. You can also bring your own racecar, but don't show up in an uncaged track day car with regular seats and belts and expect to run it. Great day, extremely enlightening, and I appreciated being able to drive someone else's car for the day without needing to worry about prepping my own. Wheel to wheel racing is intense. And the instructors really gave us hell throughout the day. Hanging in our blind spots, running three wide down the straight, inches from either side of us, just generally showing off and trying to make us uncomfortable. At the end of the day you pass or fail. If you pass, you're eligible to submit for an SCCA Novice Racing Permit with which you can race in almost any SCCA event. Race three events within two years and you can apply for your Full Competition License. Not sure whether or not I'll go further down the rabbit hole, but it was really fun to check out. All-in, with a rental car and $1k deductible insurance the total cost was about $1,300 for the day. It's about $500 or $600 if you bring your own race car. But again, it's got to be a race car, not a track car. read more

They cancelled the event at the last minute and will not reschedule for a future date. They gave me a refund, but would not refund an 8% "processing fee". I will be taking that up with my bank. Simply put, they suck. read more

I am VERY upset that I can't get a refund for my LivingSocial voucher that I purchased back in September 2019 not knowing I wouldn't be able to book anything for at least 8 months after purchase date and is now closed due to COVID19. Even with a no return policy, this is a different time in the world and EVERYONE is helping everyone and adjusting their polices because of this unprecedented time except you!! I paid for something that I am not able to redeem in a timely matter nor do you have dates that you know you will be back up in business due to the virus, the laws in place in NJ and football season coming back. You can not guarantee me to be able to redeem and use my voucher this year. This is terrible business acumen. I bought this driving experience in December of 2019 as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It has now been cancelled three times. The first cancellation was understandable due to COVID. The second cancellation was due to trailer logistics and thankfully we were notified in time. The third cancellation was not communicated clearly at all. We ended up driving 2 hours to the track without any notice the event would not be taking place. Apparently over a dozen other people showed up expecting the event to take place as well. Thankfully, I was able to redeem my ticket easily since I bought through Groupon. If you decide to proceed with purchasing this event, be prepared for many cancellations. This is the first negative review I have ever left for any service or product. Such a disappointment. We were really looking forward to the experience. read more

I purchased the Ferrari package that was "3 laps in a professionally set up autocross course at the Atlanta Motor Speedway". This is a disingenuous advertisement. I would have assumed that the driving course would occur on, you know, the actual Atlanta Speedway. It's not. As James A mentioned, the course is cones set up in the parking lot. It's a fairly small course that utilizes only half of the entire parking lot. There are multiple S-curves built into the course, so you are only able to get the vehicle to a top speed of approximately 50-60mph before you have to slow down for the curves. It was cool to drive a Ferrari, but you can't fully experience what a 12-cylinder engine can do in a course like this. It was essentially like driving Go-Karts. Disheartening experience. read more

Like another composer, I wish I could give a negative rating. One star is too much. At the beginning of COVID, I could understand, lots of things had to be canceled with no recourse of a refund in site. My June 17th experience was canceled by Circuit One because THEIR personnel came down with COVID. Thankfully, I saw the email sent on the day of experience. Took a day off of work for this. I have attempted to get my money back, but Circuit One quickly informed me they have a no refund policy, but in same sentence, I could sell my voucher to someone else. I thought this was non-transferable also? Why they do not have back-up personnel since we have been living with COVID since March 2020? I will make sure I write and post all over - buyer beware. Because of this experience, I will check online for reviews first. I believe if I had seen some of these post prior to my purchase, I would not have proceeded. They need to be accountable. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I booked this for my nephew through Groupon. We arrived at the event only to find, after we returned home, that it had been moved. When I contacted them by email, because they would not return my phone calls, they emailed me and said that they had sent multiple emails to my nephew, who had nothing to do with this transaction, he was only the driver. It took them 4 months to schedule the event with me, then when our date finally came, nothing! He received no confirmation of the venue change and neither did I. I sent them proof of my confirmation and proof of the email address as well as left multiple voicemails for them and received nothing back. The only company that has helped me with this situation is Groupon. They were not able to refund my money, but did give me a Groupon credit. Be wary of this company and their shady practices. read more

I was gifted a groupon from my Mom for Christmas, and I really wish she had saved her money. The "experience" was supposed to be autocross but it couldn't have been further from an authentic autocross experience. First lets talk about the "course" which can only be described as a ~1/4 oval with a small kink on one of the straights, and instead of real autocross cones the course is marked out with these small mini cones which makes the job of keeping your vision up more difficult. Additionally, there was no attempt made to sweep or blow off all the dirt, dust, and stones. This is combined with the truly poor design of the course from a safety point of view, which had people standing within ~25ft of a hot course. Next the cars, I was originally supposed to drive the 458 which I was told was experiencing electrical issues, so I instead chose the Z06 on offer. On my way to the car I was told "I would not need my helmet", which combined with the course set off alarm bells. Then once I got into the car, I was told the electronic nannies had to stay on, which was fair enough, but I was restricted to "Winter" mode, I couldn't even have access to the normal mode. This combined with the poor "course" made for an incredibly uninspired 5 "laps", which was more fighting the electronic nannies than a driving a world class performance car. Then just like that in a short few minutes I was done. This was hardly worth the fuel it took to drive down to Atlanta Motorspeedway, but on top of that it cost my mom $125! My advice look-up your regional SCCA webpage, and sign up for a real autocross event near you, it'll cost only $50, you'll get substantially more time behind the wheel at higher speeds. Many regions also offer real instructors who can actually help you drive better. Don't let these jokers take your money from you. There may be other supercar style experiences out there which are legitimate, but it is not this organization. For a note as to my expertise, I have been running autocross events with the SCCA for nearly 10 years, in addition to running competitive hillclimb events, and hold a road racing competition license. read more

Lamborghini, Ferrari, GTR are super cars that run terribly. Not only do you visit a large racing track, you only drive in circles marked off by mini cones in the parking lot and you do not go faster than 2nd gear automatic paddle shifters accompanied with a instructor as a passenger. Pictures are a complete waste of money, GoPro image is just boring, staff is not knowledgeable and seemed like it was their 1st day. Disclaimer about insurance * I bought it for $55 after my test drive was told that some damages exceeded $15000 on these cars due to mini cone damage, NO guard rails, metal walls or race track. Just a parking lot. Really thought it was a practice run NOPE the mini cone track was it, disappointing. read more

NOT AS ADVERTISED the day I took my boyfriend. Track was being used by a biker class that day so they set up a small VERY LAME course w cones on a side lot. Total crap. Embarrassing gift for him.
