I'm new to RC cars and not very tech savvy in general. I bought 2 cars for the kids for Christmas here and the shop employees are amazing. They took the time to explain everything to me and actually talked me into cheaper cars than what I was looking at. No sales BS, just honest answers and they showed me how to work the charger, explained about battery cells, amperage and safety. I couldn't be happier with this shop. The owner even let us try out a couple cars outside for over an hour on the tracks they have setup. read more

First time at this place and my god was it fun. They have way way more that I hoped for. This is an RC store and event center. They have huge indoor and outdoor race tracks, many obstacle courses for climbing vehicles, a massive store with many many many crazy RC things including stuff for customization. It's nuts. Went in there with my youngest this weekend to get him started in the hobby. Ryan was extremely helpful in making sure he would get something that he could enjoy and get started with. There was no pressure or even attempts to up sell us anything. They spoke to Cam about what he wanted and then to us about the budget. Can't wait to try the tracks! read more

I've been to the track twice. It is completely unforgiving being an of road course and hard packed clay. The first time I was there I did over a hundred bucks in damage to my car. The second time I was on the track for less then three minutes before I broke a very simple part that they did not have. No refund on the 15 dollar entry fee however they did turn me on to a skid plate. (Talk about little to late). This track is not for amateur drivers. Staff is not much help in for setting up a car for there track. Make sure you know your stuff before you drive that track because you will just end up breaking your drive and having to go to them for parts. read more

Bought my proboat here and many years ago had them service my 1/8 scale nitro truck. These guys ARE rc. There is no shop comparable in New England. They are super friendly and helpful. If you are new to rc literally just stop in sometime and there will be someone there genuinely excited to explain things to you and help you select a hobbygrade product that suits you. Don't be afraid of finding a better deal because they sell it at the same prices as the online stores. Because of that I'd highly recommend buying from them. If there's ever an issue you can go back to the store rather than deal with the internet. These guys have definitely cornered the market as they're the only ones around. But they don't abuse it. We rented 7 cars to drive around the indoor road track and had so much fun! The cars are pretty speedy and can lose traction if you take the turns too fast. This made for some really fun racing, as someone in the lead would push too hard and end up flipping over! The cars we rented were also very durable. Of course we didn't try to crash into each other, but they handled it well whenever accidents happened. We had so much fun reconfiguring the track, coming up with new routes, and racing each other. I hope we get the chance to visit again--just wish we lived nearby! read more

The owner Todd and his fam at RCE eat breath and live RC cars, Helis, and planes. The shop has 2 off road tracks, and an indoor carpet track. The store is very well stocked with Losi, Traxxas, and Associated cars and Helis from Eflight. A huge selection of parts are also on hand. The off road tracks (one indoors and one outdoors) are well maintained. Racing goes on Thursday and Sunday on the off road track. Great place to go and spend some enjoying the hobby of RC! read more

Well, one of my dear crazy and geeky friends dragged me all the way up here for racing R/C cars for his birthday this year. The facility offers two tracks, one for 'street' cars and one for 'offroad'. He got us rentals at the offroad track. It was unexpectedly quite a lot of fun, despite all the glitches we had from cars getting channels tangled up. The staff was very, very helpful with us uninitiated with our little issues and showing us the ropes. The offroad track itself is fairly large, in about a 4000 square foot warehouse and taking up all of it. Controlling and observation takes place on a deck about 12 feet above the track. Plenty of different elements and turns to make every run and every race fun. They keep the dirt moist, though the floor is fairly soaked when we were there. The offroad track, you needed a coat when I was there (February), but what do you expect when you're in a warehouse? The store inside has a large stock of supplies for the hobbyist. Not a bad random adventure, though it is not an everyday thing for me. read more

They do have a good assortment of vehicles and cool tracks. They are also helpful with repairs BUT based upon my experience they do not want to listen to customers and will insult and disrespect a customer if they don't agree with the customer's assessment of a situation. They will only grudgingly accept returns. As long as there are no problems with merchandise purchased from them dealing with them is probably a good experience. read more

Our experience here was awesome to say the least. Knowing little about RC cars we had made some changes to my sons Traxxas slash based on info from another shop closer to our home. We were not happy with the results and the shop did not have any answers for us. We went to RCE and were greeted by the owner Todd, and his son. We asked for advice and they listened to our needs for the car and came up with several choices. They also offered to help us with the installation of the new motor, gear, and speed control we purchased. As I started to remove a few screws, Toddie started to help me out and essentially installed the new stuff for us as I watched and learned from a very intelligent and proffessional young man. He is only 15 and has more knowledge and information than anyone I had met before. Every person we have dealt with there is friendly, polite, and listens to our many questions about the cars and how to fix them. The are true experts in their field!!!!! Last time I walk in in the doors of this place. Drove over 2 hours to pickup a pre-paid item and was given an attitude and hassle by the owner (Todd)'s son. He was snarky, mean, rude, and just flat out completely turned me off of this place. He told me I was too early and a race was taking place and technically I was not allowed anywhere near the front lobby of the store and it was for racers only. I explained to him that I called the night prior, had a two hour ride, and spoke to Eric who said I could come in early. Still, he said he didn't care and gave me an attitude. Grudgingly, he finished the wrap up on his end despite the fact I pre-paid for the item and told me to leave the store. I asked if I could take a quick look at the Kraton 8S on the shelf 10 feet away and a cost of $900.00 and he said no way. Pretty dissapointed I would have walked out of the store with it and paid another handsome chunk of change but I am taking my business elseware for that purchase! Been coming here for years but no longer. They think just because they are a big RC store and have lots of flashy merchandise that it's okay to treat people that way they are wrong. NEVER GOING BACK save your cash and go to Toy City and don't pay sales tax. read more
