hahaha do not listen to the latest review at all! the 'short guy with the weird hair' was the best clown ever, and my younger brothers enjoyed his antics so much. he's a fun guy that's there to make the kids laugh! he does his job amazingly. the entire family was absolutely thrilled with him and the rest of the cast. all the tricks and stunts were so amazing, they play off their mistakes really well and redo everything they've messed up so smoothly you can hardly even tell anything went wrong at all. tickets were free, we got giveaways! awesome experience on a monday night. screamed my throat raw and felt lightheaded at some of the acts

I attended the Mission Valley show with some discounted tickets. No more animal slavery...yay! It's now all about human acrobatics...awesome! Not quite at the same level as Cirque du Soleil, but there's still a lot of amazing acrobatic talent here that will take your breath away. -Sure glad the jugglers weren't juggling knives! -Archery Lady was amazing. -Acrobatics were great...I felt for the older guys still going at it! -The big rotating thing was scary and awesome, those guys rock! Check it out, its still playing in Mira Mesa and Escondido!

We saw Circus Vargas in Temecula! It was spectacular! The energy was hype and the acts were world class! The performers are so beautiful and talented! My family and I enjoyed the show, this was our second time, and definitely not our last. It was so exciting, I could not stop clapping, and smiling! Bravo!

I Came To The Monday Night Circus Vargas Show On October 16th, 2023 (This Past Year) Here In Woodland Hills, CA USA And Was Front Row!!! And In All Honesty Circus Vargas Isn't At All Your Typical Every Day "Circus" You Would See If You Really Think About It!! Circus Vargas Is More Of A Cirque Du Soleil/Cirque Type Show And In All Honesty I Very Much Enjoy My Cirque Du Solleil/Cirque Shows:) I Had The Time Of My Life Thanks To Stevie, Jones Caveagna As Well As Patrick, Josue Marinelli And Of Course Jonathon Lee Iverson (Your Amazing Ring Master) And I Cannot Forget Daniel Eguino (One Of Your Motorcycle Stunt Riders) And To Scott (One Of Your Jugglers) Who Also Made My Night Special! I Cannot Wait To See The Show Again This Year Here In Woodland Hills, CA USA Front Row In May!!! -Jess

Took my nephews for a birthday present (7&4) and we all loved it. I would look over after a particularly cool stunt and their jaws were literally dropped. The food and toys weren't that expensive. We got 2 cotton candies, a water, slushy, popcorn and light up toy for 45 bucks. But yeah all the acts were amazing and it is totally worth seeing!

Ask the Community - Circus Vargas

Do the performers go out into the audience?

Yes they do

Is it good for young kids like 18 months and 3?

The 3 year old might enjoy it, but might not have the attention span for it. The youngest child I saw there was about four and she asked to leave at the intermission. The venue is dark and loud, so I'm sure if it would spook the 18 month old. (Note,… Read more

For $15 a class, it doesnt get much better than this!…read more I love to dance and back in my younger years, I was a raver a long time ago and have been to Burning Man a few times. I love almost any kind of music but definitely hip hop has a special place in my heart. It is really the first type of Western music that truly got me into listening to music and expanded my mind. Since then, my music repertoire has grown quite broad, diverse and fulfilling. If there is one thing I cannot live without, music is definitely one of those things. How could this child of Taiwanese immigrants connect with hip hop? Well, the thing is, music doesnt need explaining. It reaches deep down inside somewhere and it brings such delight and joy, and it truly transforms and heals. But, yea, I digress... For the past 5 or 6 years, Ive been listening to K pop too and watching dance videos and honestly I am at a point where my body wants to fully learn some dance moves, whether it be K pop, but even better, hip hop...or whatever genre where there is some sequence to follow along with the music. I checked on mindbody to see if any dance classes offered where I am and it was my lucky day! Found this studio not far from me and there was a beginner hip hop class tonight that worked with my schedule, so I showed up! Instructor was great, he taught us some very basic moves and the studio is spacious, with lots of mirrors and the other side of it opens out to a back parking lot. Our instructor had us line up on one side of class and then taught us some moves and we practiced our moves to the other side. This went on for the first half of class. He then had us facing the mirrors, and taught us a simple sequence and that was super fun and we got to try it with a few different hip hop songs. He was very positive, shared a bit about the history of hip hop (which is very cool history) and mainly told us to have fun while teaching us some fun moves! I had a great time and definitely will be back when I wanna add some dance into all my other body movement fun I like to have!! Awesome studio, great teachers, staff are nice, prices are fair, and easy parking. Im definitely getting my groove on here again soon!

I was really happy to find out one of my favorite dance instructors holds classes at Studio FX…read more Anthony has been one of the leading instructors in San Diego for such a long time! He had a cardio hip hop class and it was really crowded! What I like is that Anthony breaks everything down for people of all skill levels. Lots of great energy! The women in the back with me, cause I refuse to be in front, were all fun and supportive! However, my running man at the end was walking! LOL! My only complaint is that the AC cannot keep up with the heat that's generated! Yes, this class is fire! Definitely worth checking out classes here! It is a little far for me, but I will definitely be back!

After a long pandemic pause, my return to the San Diego Musical Theatre reminded me why I fell in…read morelove with this gem in the first place. Somehow, it's even better now! There's literally NO bad seat in this intimate theater. I'm not exaggerating. While the balcony seats at the downtown Civic Theatre might leave you squinting at tiny figures at premium prices, here I felt like I was practically part of the show regardless of where I sat. And at these super reasonable prices? It's almost criminal how much value you're getting. Walking into their production of "Hello, Dolly!" I was immediately struck by how the modest stage might compare to larger Broadway venues. This is a place where size absolutely doesn't matter here. The creative team masterfully used every square inch of that space, with choreography that had me wondering how they fit so much spectacular dancing into such a cozy setting. Those dancers deserve medals for their spatial awareness alone! What truly sets SDMT apart is the caliber of talent they attract. This isn't just "good for local theater"--these are performers who deliver professional-quality entertainment that had me smiling from the opening number to the final bow. The acting was so engaging that I completely forgot there wasn't a traditional orchestra. Did I miss it? Not for a second. The performers commanded the space so completely that any potential limitations simply vanished. While here are no actual curtains, it didn't detract from the experience, this adds to the intimate, immersive quality that makes this theater special. You're not just watching a show, you're part of its world from the moment you take your seat. For North County residents, this place is a revelation. The easy drive and FREE parking situation (though come early, as spaces are limited and you might need to street park) makes this infinitely more accessible than the downtown venue. No parking fees, no traffic nightmares, just straight to the entertainment. Walking out after the show, I found myself repeating "wow, wow, wow" like a happy theater mantra. I'm already excited for their next production.
