Europcar - The "damage" they are charging me for is a tiny scratch less than one inch long. 100% scam.

Europecar had competitive rates and many of the agencies do try to tack on extraneous fees. Of course you have to be vigilant and ask questions, which is tough when you've just been on an international flight. I also needed a GPS for navigation which was an additional cost of 15 euros per day. I'd recommend buying one or if you have a phone with a local SIM card and enough data then of course you won't need a GPS unit. Our Fiat took us all the way to Meribel Mottarette for an Alpine half marathon running race and back. Be prepared to spend a ton on tolls though. In France there are toll many many toll gates where as in Italy you typically pick up a ticket at one end and pay when you get off the highway or at your final destination. Apparently in Switzerland you'll pay one fee and then no tolls for one year and you are allowed to travel within the country wherever you like. The convenience and flexibility of having a car is one of the many reasons we chose to rent one. If you have time on your side and can plan ahead it is much more economical to use public transit.

Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur - Baggage claim

Quality/Quantity - Easy in and out. Especially with Easy Jet airline, pun intended…read more First time at this airport and maybe even a first time with this airline. Asked the first employee we saw that directed us to the correct baggage check, and of course we were supposed to go to the furthest part of the airport. Team members checked our boarding pass and ID. Self service baggage kiosk and off we went to the lounge, which was right after security. And then we realized that our gate was just in front of our Infinity Lounge. What a great start! Ambiance - Huge airport, minimum of two terminals. But clear instructions from Easy Jet airline and Google Maps. Service - Mostly self service. Price - Depends on where you go. We paid extra for assigned seats, baggage check, etc. Owner Comment - Thank you for an easy experience.

Yelp Review 2026 #178:…read more Arriving to and departing from NCE was easy but all I had was a purse with a tote bag inside for all the things I planned on getting in Nice. I didn't go through customs and immigration since I was coming from and going to a Schengen country. I can't say anything about the carousel at baggage claim since I didn't check a bag. It's not a massive airport. A few restaurants, cafes and bars. There's a huge bar/ restaurant hall in the departures area but it was closed without hours posted anywhere. You can get a tram to get to Nice-ville Station. Or take a tram to Saint-Augustin to catch a train to Ventimiglia, Italy stopping at Nice-ville, Sur Mer, Eze, Cap-d'Ail, Monaco, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Carnolès, and Menton. Passing 3 countries with one train ride. But the bad part is that, buying a transportation card from the kiosks at the airport sucks. They only carry 3-day passes minimum. I was only in Nice for a day since it's not a big city.

The…read morehotel is about a ten minute walk from the Nice airport entrance but the entrance is a little hidden behind the Novetel. Front desk workers were very friendly and helpful and most spoke good English. My room was very clean, small, no furniture outside of the bed and a stool. The bathroom is very clean but only includes two large towels and just body wash liquid soap. For an extra 10 euros you can get a good continental breakfast. The tram is a five minute walk and goes to the airport and to old town Nice. I only recommend the hotel for short stays to be near the airport as there is really nothing near the hotel to do. To walk from the airport take the sidewalk next to the tram over the street to the north. Go past the Sheraton hotel and take a right towards the Novotel hotel. Ibis is in the same building just hidden in the back along an alley .

It seems to be creeping into my room too. No AC per se, blowing fan says "cool" but it is not. It's mid OCT so the stench isn't intolerable but I imagine in summer it's very stinky. Only here for 11 hrs so it is what it is....rental car is already dropped off, making due. Nice ppl work here though!

However, if you stay here, you need to expect that your room, at all times, will lack air conditioning, and even in the winter you will be sleeping in 27°C or 81°F. And they appear to be unable to rectify the situation no matter how many times they try, or whether they change your room or not. Just be prepared. Additionally, their restaurant is the worst. They have no food that could be put into an edible category. There are no conveniently located places in the area to get even a quick meal, unless you go back over to the airport. I actually like the hotel for its simplicity, it's cleanliness, its relative economy and its convenience. But I'm going to tell you... I'm gonna try another hotel. I can't sleep when it's 81° in the room " it's too hot to handle" and, I usually need something to eat before I go to bed.

Tea and bottled water were complimentary. Location is very convenient for airport travel. However, I would not stay here as a tourist looking to sightsee. I would suggest staying closer to the old town of nice. And I would not stay here for more than one night since the rooms are so stuffy. The direct access from the parking lot to the hotel room came in handy with exhausted kids (and the rain). They also provide trolleys in the garage, making transporting your own luggage less of a hassle. Very low rates & everything was clean. Breakfast had everything: fruits, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, pancakes, charcuterie, freshly baked breads, pastries, etc..
