It didn't update in real-time. The doctor was late. He was the 1st patient of the day. Anesthesiologist thoroughly explained everything. The nurse had difficulty starting the IV and made 2 painful attempts. The post-op nurse rushed him out. He's an older guy who has mobility issues. She had him walk out from the 2nd floor to the main entrance. As I'm talking to her, she's ushering him out. I'm holding him steady and helping him walk. No regard for his age, sedation, or medical conditions. I'll make no assumptions about why... JHH staff across all departments lack empathy and basic kindness. There was plenty of parking, and when I got inside , there wasn't a crowd in the pharmacy , which was a huge difference from my usual location. A few years ago, they gave my child the wrong antibiotic and diagnosed him and he ended up in the hospital with 104 fever! But this past Sunday with the nurse practitioner working ( only one ) had no idea what she was doing, and if you can't look at a Patient and know that's a virus and I work in the health field. I'm not a doctor but it was obvious. She didn't like it that I told her no we need an antibiotic which she refused to give us and is exactly what he needed. I've never had a bad encounter with the staff and they've always been super sweet and accommodating. The PAs I've seen have been friendly and nice. I've felt listened to and cared for both times I've been. I like that you can ask staff to be masked. They have hand sanitizer everywhere. I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be seen after checking in. I enjoy having the tablet to check in so that I'm not handling a clipboard. The best part is they take walk-ins and appointments but I've only ever walked in because I didn't expect things to happen. They double check on where to send any meds for me and if I need a referral, they put it in for me. I've been to a lot of urgent cares and left miserable and upset, this has not been one of those places for me.
