She was insensitive and hard to understand my situation. I do not know her name but I may find out and report it. I am a senior, I have had two heart attacks, had bypass surgery, valve replacement and I have a pacemaker. My social security income is low but my life depends on my meds. My prescription drug insurance had just expired and had to pay more than double for one of my meds yesterday afternoon. Right after my med was purchased with a credit card because of the price, I got via Fedex from my doctor's office free medicine until I am able to get my insurance again. I was happy I got the med I had just run out of for free. Immediately, I asked my son to return the unopened package with the med I had just paid to the Walmart pharmacy. I know people return unopened meds all the time in other places as well. But this lady, the pharmacist opened the package and the bottle and said she could not take it back even when she saw that the package had been perfectly closed. My point is the way she handled the situation was not how a professional who deals with people's health needs should do it. I believe pharmacists should be empathetic, understabding, at least kind to the customer who is there with health needs. Not cold and hard. The cashiers had more sensitive hearts. I hope Walmart pharmacy considers this when they hire pharmacists in the future. It seems that this young lady did not wanr to understand why I needed to return a perfectly sealed unopened package because someone else had compassion and sent me free medication until I got insurance again. She said she was the only one who could decide about thos situation wgen asked if we could talk about our request to a supervisor. My family and I forgive her but we thought Walmart pharmacy should know it is important to train pharmacists like her.

I went to my bank and found that the check had never been presented to my bank. This was verified by my bank. A Ms. C Foster stated that she had sent me a letter, (remember I said I moved) so the letter was returned ) so she stuck the letter and check in a drawer and no doubt planned to sue me for it. When I tried showing her that the check had never been presented she denied that, practically calling me a liar, and demanded that I pay a service fee for the check. Seeing as how I have little choice than to pay I would like everyone who uses Phipps Pharmacy to know how little they value their customers. I will be there Monday to pay her in full and I pray she sleeps as well in her bed tonight as she sleeps in hell later on. Businesses have no empathy for their customers anymore and all they are interested is money. As much money as they make I seriously doubt that big $20 made a difference to them. However my family has eaten Ramen noodles for the entire month and felt lucky not to be living in a card board box. I will never do business with this pharmacy again. It seems that the only way to get through to these people is to vote with our pocket book. WalMart, being a very large, what you would assume to be impersonal company takes time to explain and help you any way they can. They even text you or call you when your prescriptions are ready. They are friendly and always greet me with a smile. They were appalled at the actions of Ms. Foster and said that was not the first time they had heard such complaints. My husband has been using WalMart for a year now and he has had not the slightest moments trouble with them. I will be transferring my prescriptions to the immediately. It is a sad day when a local pharmacy is more rude and less helpful than a huge chain store. It's just disappointing. Sincerely, A Very Dissatisfied Company.
