Being situated on the A289 this park is really easy to locate for most people living in and around this area. some of the activities open throughout the year are -three golf course; - crazy golf; - tennis courts; - netball; - five-a-side football; - children's play areas including a little toy-train(£1 a ticket); - picnic areas. other attractions are paddling pools, a swimming pool(not sure if entrace fee is there or not) . or you could just strall beside the river and take in the sights of cruisers/boats on the river and gulls out fishing. In summer months the cafe is also open as are some ice-crem parlours. during the summer months lots of companies bring out bouncy castles and the area gets converted to a fair ground too with ferris wheels, and carousels etc. Parking is free and ample. All in all most children have a day full of fun and activities.

Even if you are new you do not need to worry about being judged as everyone is local and just lets you get on with it. If you need help you can always ask any of the staff members. It has less than 20 pieces of equipment (treadmills, cross trainers, rowers etc.). There is also a small mat area that doubles as a weight area. It does have a great pool with separate jacuzzi. They also have a steam room and sauna included with entry. I find that the busiest time to visit is around 5pm-7pm at night. It is much quieter after 8pm and is open until 10pm. Complimentary towels are issued at the gym reception which is really handy after a workout or a swim. This isn't the biggest gym by a long shot but has all of the facilities you would need as long as you are happy to go off peak.

There is just one big hall with all the playing stuff like paints and water-table , chalks etc. My daughters made so many friend sthrough this group. There is a tidying up time and a story time which helps children get organised early on too. The church doesn't feel like a church so it wouldn't be intimidating for non-religious people as well.
