They roast their own beans in house and offer a bunch of different options - the newest one is Maple Nut Crunch and it is sooo good. Definitely a little weird to be driving up to a factory or warehouse like building but they need all that space for what they do. Well I was given a bag of their breakfast blend from a friend for my home machine and it was honestly so disappointing. The shots were coming out very dark with no crème even forming, it was very oily like a dark roast, and it just tasted off. I don't know if it was a bad batch, or just old, but it certainly doesn't match the Daily Grind at all. $12 for 12oz seems like a good price though, so I'll have to try them again in the future.

Abingdon is a little town with a lot of fast food outlets and doesn't exactly have a vibrant cafe society or third spaces for people living outside of the nuclear family unit constellation. So I was delighted to find this little cafe/ bookshop (The Book Cellar) which even has a tiny garden as well where you can get a cuppa tea, browse the books, sit down and maybe just get some writing done or just collect your thoughts. Folks were very friendly and I had no problems here whatsoever. It's small, very cozy but for little Abingdon, it's just right. I was so happy to find this corner of Abingdon. I may come back to Abingdon in the future for other workshops and if I do, I sure hope this little shop and cafe are still here.

She provided recommendations and shared with me the specials offered at the time. I ordered a custom made beverage, hot Toasted Marshmallow & Butter Cookie latte with oat milk; I topped it with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect sweet treat to warm me up on chilly winter afternoon. The cafe also featured a very cute book cellar that had the neatest items!! You can definitely tuck-away in this cafe to get work done, you can meet with friends for a coffee date, or even just chill and have a cup of coffee, a pastry and indulge in a nice book. Super garlicy and had a lot of bacon on top, very worth it! I usually just get a muffin when I come, which are all really good (you cant go wrong)! I also got a tumeric honey latte, which was surprisingly really comforting; not too sweet, perfect tenperature, and had enough tumeric!
