Since starting treatments at the Pulse Light Clinic for laser hair removal last summer I am now almost finished my treatments. I've had half legs and Brazilian bikini and started off on a pack of 4, I have since chosen to buy a further package of 4 as they don't expire and I want to hold on to one for after this summer as a top up treatment. Good results, I started on the Luminus and saw even better results when they updated their new machines to the Soprano. read more

I came here to get my nose stud changed. I'd had it pierced a year ago at a well-known piercing…read moreshop in Central London but it had never fully settled, so I thought I'd try somewhere else to change the jewellery (and ask for a second opinion on how the piercing itself was faring). I chose Stotker as it's local to me and had really good reviews. I am *so* glad I came here. The piercer, Edyta, greeted me warmly and took me through to her studio. I'd brought my own stud, an internally threaded labret like the one I'd been pierced with but with a smaller gem. As soon as she saw it, Edyta expressed concern. She advised against wearing a labret in a nose piercing as they are so hard to keep clean, meaning you have to root around with a cotton bud and just keep irritating the piercing. I was so relieved to hear this, as it's exactly what I'd been experiencing - and we had a really good and frank chat about it. She suggested I try a nose screw with a tiny gem and a narrow gauge, explaining why it would be better for me, and I was convinced enough to go for it. She gave me a big selection to choose from. She gently unscrewed my labret (apologising as it was irritated and bled a bit) and inserted the nose screw. Despite the angry bump by my piercing, I was delighted with the dainty gem and felt I *finally* had what I had wanted. Edyta advised saline solution twice a day for two weeks, and guaranteed (with impressive conviction!) that the piercing would finally settle down. A week and a half later, and I can say she was dead right. I am completely thrilled to finally have the beautiful piercing I'd imagined when I'd first decided to get it done, and only wish I'd come to this great local studio in the first place. I've wanted other piercings but my experience with my nose put me off; now I feel curious again and will definitely come here next time :) And a word of wisdom - *don't* get your nose pierced with a labret stud. It's not fun doing saline soaks on a swollen red piercing twice a day for an entire year. Including on holiday. :/

It was £35 for the piercing and a bottle of solution to clean it with afterwards. The staff are lovely and there's only two full time piercers so you usually see the same guys. My piercer was hilarious and completely calmed me down in my pathetic fear of pain! He was really professional and was helpful in telling me how long it would take to heal etc so I'd go back again if I wanted anything else done. One of my flatmates is also thinking of going back for a tattoo which start at about £40 because the service was so great and there haven't been any problems with my piercing. They also do tattoo removal.

At the front, the hole is about 3 or 4 mm beneath the one I already had... And only barely 1 mm in the back. Who pierces a helix in an angle?! He also didn't say anything about that; I had to discover for myself. All that for £40. Definitely never going back again.

Tattoo removal Groupon customer I've had 4 sessions on my black tattoo and barely see any difference. Apparently it depends on your immune system how well you respond and I'm a healthy person. I didn't know I need at least 8 sessions for definite and realise this removal process ends up being quite expensive in the end as I will have to fork out another £300 or more to finish it off. So bare in mind, the groupon on deal is only a start on the process, if you haven't had treatments on it before. They also charge you £30 if you have to re-schedule your appointment, being a groupon customer. Which I had to do and naturally really annoyed me. You have to schedule in your session several weeks or up to 2 months ahead which makes it quite hard to know in advance whether that will work with your schedule or not nearer the time. The staff, Katharina was friendly and the service from the reception was also good. read more

As a man I don't spend that much on my appearance unlike my wife who has been coming to the Pulse Light clinic for a while now to have Rosacea (http://www.pulselightclinic.co.uk/rosacea) treatment. She finally persuaded me to see Sheila MacLean about having laser hair removal on my back. I was worried about the expense of the hair removal but found the prices to be very reasonable especially when I totted up how much I spend on waxing a year. To travel into London just for laser hair removal seemed a bit silly so we made a day of it and I really enjoyed meeting and chatting to Sheila. The whole thing was actually a pain free experience compared to waxing and I can already see results after just two treatments. If you want hair removal in London then the Pulse Light Clinic is definitely worth a visit. read more

I have just started full body laser hair removal at the Pulselightclinic and I have to day their Soprano machine is AMAZING! I have only had one treatment on each area so far and I cant believe the results, its pain free and just feels like a warm massage, I've even nearly drifted off a few times! I came to the clinic after having IPL somewhere else, where I had minimal results, Ive since been told it should not be used on Asian skin like mine anyway, so I'm glad I stopped with them. I normally shave my arms everyday and the fact that 1 week later the hair is not growing and I can just pull it out with my fingers is a bit weird but great to see! It's been a year now since I last shaved my legs thanks to the Pulse light Clinic. I went there to get my tattoo removed and they told me about laser hair removal. I'm really glad they did as I have quite thick dark body hair and was sick of shaving and didn't like to grow it long enough so that it could be waxed. The hair removal service at the London clinic is excellent and cheap for the area. It took a package of six treatments for my hair to go completely but I got a very good deal, much cheaper than anywhere else in London for laser hair removal. The cost is nothing compared to the relief that I never have to shave again or buy razors. Thanks so much to Sheila and all of the staff. read more

I've discovered that laser hair removal is actually better than the IPL hair removal, that I had at another clinic, from my experience at the Pulse light Clinic. The clinic is in East London and offers Laser hair removal, tattoo removal and IPL for problem skin. I am glad I went in for a free consultation as they explained how the laser works and were very thorough. The treatment was really good and the results have lasted a year now so I am convinced that they are permanent. My impression of the Cityhairremoval Clinic is that they really do care about their customers. I had two different practitioners do my laser hair removal and they were both excellent. There is a nice atmosphere at the clinic and the girls are really nice to chat to. I also felt that they were very experienced at hair removal, which made me very comfortable. The clinic is in the city so I could go in my lunch hour rather than travel across London. As well as laser hair removal they do IPL, which I am also having now too. The staff at the Pulse light Clinic are really lovely people and very professional. They all seem highly trained and can talk very technically about laser hair removal but in a way that is understandable. I was very pleased with the results and am so glad that I don't even need to think about hair removal again. Finished laser hair removal at Christmas after buying a full body package with amazing results. I started treatments in Australia which were really expensive. I now live in Manchester but work occasionally in London and I wanted to take advantage of the deal they had on so I started in 2011 at cityhairremoval clinic in London. I spaced treatments further apart than 6 weeks and had 8 on each area as well as a gap whilst I had a tan. My arms and bikini made a huge difference to my confidence, such a relief to be hair free! read more

I saw results after one session with the new Soprano laser machine. I normally need to shave my upper lip every day as the re growth is really obvious and so embarrassing! The hair became stunted and just didn't grow, then after 10 days I noticed the hair falling out and I could even pull out the hair with my fingers! I'm having sessions every 4 weeks so I will see how permanent it is read more
