I came here to get my nose stud changed. I'd had it pierced a year ago at a well-known piercing…read moreshop in Central London but it had never fully settled, so I thought I'd try somewhere else to change the jewellery (and ask for a second opinion on how the piercing itself was faring). I chose Stotker as it's local to me and had really good reviews. I am *so* glad I came here. The piercer, Edyta, greeted me warmly and took me through to her studio. I'd brought my own stud, an internally threaded labret like the one I'd been pierced with but with a smaller gem. As soon as she saw it, Edyta expressed concern. She advised against wearing a labret in a nose piercing as they are so hard to keep clean, meaning you have to root around with a cotton bud and just keep irritating the piercing. I was so relieved to hear this, as it's exactly what I'd been experiencing - and we had a really good and frank chat about it. She suggested I try a nose screw with a tiny gem and a narrow gauge, explaining why it would be better for me, and I was convinced enough to go for it. She gave me a big selection to choose from. She gently unscrewed my labret (apologising as it was irritated and bled a bit) and inserted the nose screw. Despite the angry bump by my piercing, I was delighted with the dainty gem and felt I *finally* had what I had wanted. Edyta advised saline solution twice a day for two weeks, and guaranteed (with impressive conviction!) that the piercing would finally settle down. A week and a half later, and I can say she was dead right. I am completely thrilled to finally have the beautiful piercing I'd imagined when I'd first decided to get it done, and only wish I'd come to this great local studio in the first place. I've wanted other piercings but my experience with my nose put me off; now I feel curious again and will definitely come here next time :) And a word of wisdom - *don't* get your nose pierced with a labret stud. It's not fun doing saline soaks on a swollen red piercing twice a day for an entire year. Including on holiday. :/

After doing a lot of research into various methods I went with Richard and could not have been more impressed. There is no scarring or pigmentation, after 6 treatments my skin is ink free (tattoo was approx 3x3 inches). My disbelieving friends inspected me very closely and couldn't spot anything, one even checked the other shoulder to make sure I wasn't playing a trick! Very affordable and well worth it, once you have your first one each session only takes a few minutes. Be aware, it IS painful, but well worth it. Recovery shortens each time too.

I wanted to get my tragus (part of the ear) pierced but didn't know of a good piercing salon so thought I'd shell out for the quality. It was £35 for the piercing and a bottle of solution to clean it with afterwards. The staff are lovely and there's only two full time piercers so you usually see the same guys. My piercer was hilarious and completely calmed me down in my pathetic fear of pain! He was really professional and was helpful in telling me how long it would take to heal etc so I'd go back again if I wanted anything else done. One of my flatmates is also thinking of going back for a tattoo which start at about £40 because the service was so great and there haven't been any problems with my piercing. They also do tattoo removal.

First of all, the guy didn't really seem to want to do it (he acted like it was beneath him). And then he pierced like a beginner! When I finally decided to get rid of it for good I started investigating what my options were and what the best clinic in London was, and after days of searching I've found the Elan Medical Skin Clinic. I understand it's run by the lovely Sue Ibrahim and has its main branch in Rayleigh, Essex. Sue is in the London branch every Wednesday. I've enquired and booked all online (which I appreciated as I hate phoning people). There is a £50 fee to pay for the first consultation. Last week I headed to Whitecross Street and met Sue. She talked me through the different ways a mole can be removed and what her preferred methods are, then examined my mole and told me a cut at the base with radio wave would suffice as it didn't have any root. I was able to do it there right after the consultation, didn't feel any pain whatsoever and all in all I was out of there in 30 minutes. The actual removal took about 3 minutes. Paid £250. Today the scab has fallen off and I can barely see anything, I am ever so grateful to Sue for her professionalism and kindness, and I could not recommend her enough. I was really scared of heavy scarring and I feel silly now that I can see it'll all be fine once the new skin isn't as pink as it is now. Thank you Sue.
