She was nice. She told me there was a delay. The lobby was warm on a freezing cold evening. There are bathrooms and a vending machine. The train arrived and I found my passenger. The Amtrak employee suggested making a left out of the driveway to avoid the cobblestone road & traffic. Leaving was easier that direction. All passengers wore masks and had window seats if you weren't with someone. A one way ticket from Union Station to Lynchburg was $29. The reservation was made two days in advance.

Along the way, a series of monuments and memorials to those from the Lynchburg area who have served or lost their lives in service to their country. At the tip, in pride of place, a Confederate soldier holding a rifle mounted with a bayonet. Because of its location along the James River and with access to the Shenandoah Valley, Lynchburg was a pivotal spot in the Civil War. And the Appomattox Court House to the east is where the surrender was signed and the war ended. The statue was dedicated in 1900 and has a time capsule. Inside, artifacts include Confederate currency, photographs of local veterans and a hair sample from Traveller (General Lee's horse). According to the caption, Monument Terrace consists of 132 steps and 10 landings was completed in 1925. Designed initially as a memorial to Lynchburg's World War I casualties, several other memorials have been placed over the years. It's a pretty good workout climbing the stairs. They examined the package, said it was clearly not marked media mail, then said there was nothing wrong with it at all and was ready to ship. So, my package was a day late, and I wasted 2 hours of my time on a busy work day. Just a heads up, I have also heard terrible things about the Rivermont location if you want to ship more than one package every year. Just laziness and incompetence. I would skip any location but Odd Fellows if I were you.

I like the location because everyone working here is super friendly, and if you can find what it is you need, you typically get it for very cheap. Great for gift bags and kitchen gadgets - also travel size things for when you fly somewhere else. The quality is hit or miss - I wouldn't use this place for buying wedding gifts, but for toss-away things, it is great. A tighter staff means multitasking. Bathrooms were brightly lit, impeccably clean and modern in design. There's also a spacious baby changing station as you enter the bathroom, for those traveling with little ones. The TSA officer was friendly and overall approachable throughout the security process. Once you're downstairs at the gate, there are a few vending machines with water bottles and snacks, though it's a limited selection on offer. On the whole, I enjoy passing through this airport on my way back home to Denver. It's conveniently close to town with minimal traffic to contend with, depending on the time of day. Parking is in ample supply, and the rental car lot sits right beside the building on the furthest side. Beautiful landscaping greets travelers upon arrival, alongside a small natural garden.

They have upgraded the luggage check in by finally installing an automatic scanner before the TSA had to open each & every bag and physically check everything. I even remember one time when they opened a bag with just books and going through every book! So I was relieved to see a luggage scanner! From the check in to board is fairly easy and quick! The only draw back at this airport is that all flights come and go through Charlotte (CLT) ONLY! Plus only American Airlines services this airport, so if not careful the customer could be victims to monopolized price gouged. This airport needs to diversify its options to more locations like DC, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta etc. I would give higher rating if they had more flight options! Otherwise this is a clean and very efficiently designed airport!

So they arrested me so I walked home from the jail and I look every where for my $120 but couldn't find it anywhere. I'm not the type of person to lose anything so it was a shock to me how I could lose $120 in my own home and can't be found anywhere. So I came to the conclusion that the women who was helping me girlfriend with her thing took it cause she was the only one that went in my room I talked about it with some people and they said there not surprised at all. So if your able to watch her chest camera and found out what happened would be much appreciated. In return I will grant you with a two star review.
