His extraordinary reply to me, within 24 hours, consisted of five lengthy paragraphs detailing (1) why his costs (hiring a driver, taxes, fuel, fees and licence requirements to legally drive the Cabot Trail) were so high that he needed to charge more than double what I'd originally offered (2) recommending several colleagues (along with their telephone #'s) whom I could contact, and who might be able to offer the same tour for my wife and me more affordably. As a first-time tourist visiting Sydney off a cruise, I had no idea of the burdens imposed upon these tour providers, and now better appreciate why such private tours have become so expensive. I'm so grateful, and appreciative of Greg's generosity, which actually referred me to Sydney Adventure Tours, and a perfect solution for my forthcoming tour of the Cabot Trail. I mean on the plus size you don't wait very long to pass security(unless you get there a bit late, then you're stuck with all the other late comers in a single file line), on the down side you can't really eat or buy souvenirs here.
