Wow; where to even begin with this place. The living environment is something of a cross between a…read morecollege dorm, a failed housing project, and the building in JG Ballard's nightmare novel "High Rise" (although the high rise in Ballard's book had its architect living on site, while this place is managed by some absentee slumlords in Chicago and the rental office staff are generally helpless to change anything). Your first clue should be the fact that the advertising for the building mentions the comforts of the surrounding neighborhood, not the living spaces themselves. And yes, there's some cool stuff in the neighborhood, but at the end of the day I want an actual home where I have some peace of mind. And how to achieve peace of mind, you ask? Well, I'd like to be able to go to the laundry room and not find creepy kill-eyed teens lying down in the hallway for no apparent reason. I'd like to not hear about how a resident has threatened to throw bleach in all the laundry room dryers because a pair of her socks went missing. I'd like to use the stairwell without tripping over broken glass or encountering somebody who is breaking the smoking ban for the building (and trust me, a whole lot of other things get smoked in the stairwell besides cigarettes). I'd like to ride an elevator where people haven't discarded their soft drink bottles, and graffiti'd junior high-level protests like "LIFE SUCKS LIVING HERE" (though I can certainly agree with the sentiment). Yes I know you're already disinterested in living here, but there's more. Some of this building's all-star residents do drugged out dances in the parking lot early in the A.M., smash the windows and key the sides of the nicer vehicles, can't park their own vehicles properly to save their lives, hang around by the entrances where they sexually harass my girlfriend...you get the point. It's a thoroughly depressing, intimidating dump where the few renovations that are done do nothing to address the main structural and social problems that exist here. There are some sweet people here who deserve a medal for putting up with it all, but by and large they can't overcome the incompetency of the management to deal with criminal threats and general dilapidation. Zero stars to this glorified fleabag motel. I'm not lying when I say that I have had more pleasant living experiences in crummy Communist-built concrete housing blocks and in barely furnished lofts with no hot water.

Disappointed, need to find a nice place to live in my price range to no avail. So this may be as nice a place as depicted online, but I more than likely won't know.

Management is terrible and will resort to hiding from you. They are poor communicators and prey on desperate people who have no other means. They don't fix anything and leave you high and dry.------My pregnant sister had a raccoon coming through her ceiling from her upstairs neighbor keeping it as a pet, after telling management they chose the side of the raccoon and its owner. That is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. This newer experience involves my aunt. She was desperate and looking for a place and the manager, I believe is Roseline, promised them a 17-1900 sq foot apartment and after seeing their desperation, talked them into paying the deposit and signing the lease. She ghosted them for weeks and did not come through until move in day which was today and when they finally got to their apartment it was not what they were promised. It's sad to see that not only the staff treat the tenants in this way but that it's coming from management herself. Please please do not move here. They have a terrible system going. Save yourself the endless headache dealing with them and the trauma.
