A month later we had received a bill explaining that we owed them, not only they took all of our deposit of $1,100 they even charged us over the top prices and some of them are part of normal wear and tear. We didn't expect to have all of our deposit back because we understood how the business goes but the way they have charged us on everything blows my mind! Especially when we left the house in clean good condition. Luckily, my husband and I took some pictures before we left the house, so therefore, we sent them a dispute letter and demanded an explanation on each of the charges. We waited for over 2 months and Of course no respond from them so we went ahead filed a small claims. 2 months later, they turned around and sued us for taking them to court and they wanted us to pay for their attorneys as well..... LOL. Jokes on them they didn't get what they wanted from us. The point is that don't try to charge extra to your previous tenants just to cover up all your make ready expenses, And also next time if someone take you guys to court again and have to go to trials like we did please tell the Property Manager Brittany to dress up appropriately, she showed up to court wearing flip flops with jeans and a sweater, very unprofessional, way to represent your company.

Note, i already signed the lease agreement and the property manager brought up that she forgot to add on two charges. So, she added them on. . WoW! first mistake. Knew that day it was going to be they did not care about you, just chasing MONEY! I also had issues trying to get repairs done, three, to 4 days after creating the ticket to get a maintenance person over to fix it. The first time, maintenance showed up he did not knock, he walked in then announced himself. Again, No respect for the renter! I called the office to let them know i had mice in my house, i bought mouse traps. The office told me to go around the house to see where they are coming in at and open a ticket. That's my job?? So, they do not want to pay for maintenance they want you to take care if it free of charge. I lived with mice until i finally had enough and broke the lease. I swore to myself DO NOT EVER RENT AGAIN! I bought my home, I could of before i rented from this management company but thought i wanted a break and live a little more ease. MCG could not give me that! I lived with mice and they did not like the idea of a not cleaned stove and the shower was not fully cleaned so they took 90 bucks from me. I lived there almost 3 years, never a late payment ever. Always let them know when something…read morewasn't working and they responded quickly. An ongoing problem was my front door wasn't opening. I would have to use my back door. One day I noticed that every room in my duplex was buckling and caving in. The floor between my living room and dining room buckled so badly I tripped over it. I immediately took pictures and informed them. It took 4 months of people coming in and out to fix that. 2 weeks later, my front door didn't open again. I let that go. One night my sister was visiting me and the temperature was-10 degrees and my old, old, old furnace stopped working! It was around 10 pm when I finally called the emergency number provided to me. No response. Called again and left a message. Got a call from Teresa Penner telling me to never call again with a tone in my voice. I asked what tone? I don't have heat! I asked why do you have an emergency number when there is noone coming out, it goes straight to you? 4 days later the furnace was replaced because it wasn't working! From that moment on I was treated poorly. I wanted to move out and informed them. I was told to break the lease I had to pay $500 for "release fees "and pay the next month rent, which I did. I paid February's rent, which had been raised through the years to $1115 , and turned in the keys February 14. I paid the $500 "release fee". I asked to be kept up to date. I wasn't. Finally got a response that there were major repairs that had to be done. Again asked, what repairs...no response. What major repairs? Lifting the house, putting braces under the house, digging 30 feet deep to do that are major repairs that I went through for 4 months. What major repairs are left? Again, nothing. I left that house so clean. They informed me they would be there February 17 at 8:30am to do the final walk through. I couldn't make it due to job and very short notice. Heard nothing about what happened, although I kept asking. They finally rented it March 17th, 1 month and 4 days later. I now owed for March rent. I asked why it took so long to rent. Again, no response. Waited to get some kind of return on my deposit. They waited just long enough to charge me for 17 days, which they took from my deposit. Received a letter from them with pictures trying to explain why I would not get a single dollar back from my deposit, but claiming I now owe them $45! I paid a full month rent, only there 14 days, paid $1050 deposit, received nothing from that, paid them $500 for "release fee", left the house clean and I get absolutely nothing back from my deposit and I owe them $45!!!. Please stay clear of this company because they only care about the owners. Renters are not important at all. So sad because owners are nothing without renters and that company is nothing without happy renters. Please stay clear of any property that is managed by Penner Property.
