It was an incredibly beautiful prayer. The music was so well done. I knew all the songs and it made me feel happy that I had chosen this church. The pastor preached right from the Bible he was great. When the service was over,again someone met me as I was walking out and invited me over to the information booth. I look forward to going back. I watched about 3 sermons online about Galatians and went to visit Sunday at 8:30. It was easy to get in and we were greeted and ushered. Worship was fine but I didn't know the songs so I spent a lot of time reading the lyrics. The sermon is the most important part of a church service to me, and I found the pastor's sermon on Judging not Lest ye be Judged to be subtle and good. I had many questions, because in that same sermon he told the congregation not to model ourselves after hollywood marriages, that children shouldn't be asked what they want to eat for dinner at the grocery store (rather the parent should lead), and talked about not throwing your pearls before swine, so discernment and judgment ate different. Overall an interesting topic! Left me with a lot of questions though. I think a church can never be 4 or 5 stars until it's very clear how to plug in to activities and it's clear that new attendees are welcome. The announcements section that Sunday didn't have an invitation that I remember to plug into any new attendee events. A simple "raise your hand if this is your first time here" or something like that would be recommendable in my opinion. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you for opening your doors to the community! I like that there is a meeting at The Enclave as well. I think moving the Food Truck Fellowship event from Calvary Life to The Enclave might help bring in new attendees.

You have so many classes and activities for the kids to do and learn about God and make new friends. My kids look forward to Sunday's. I get a little mini break my kids are in the classes and I get to go to service with my husband. We love to hear the word of God and just be in the presence of the lord. We have services 8:30, 1030 and 12:30. We have a lot of parking which is always a blessing.

Little did we know God blessed us with one literally right next door to our new home. We are so thankful to Gardena Valley Baptist Church, the pastors, staff and the children's ministry. The children's ministry have played a huge part in helping shaped our daughters lives from when they were infants to now (last year in high school). As parents it's so important to have a community that's there for support and partnering with us parents to help raise our future generations in the Lord. Our church has expanded and we've seen many changes throughout the years but one thing is certain, our God is moving mightily in our church. He is moving in the hearts of His people. We pray for revival not just in our church but for all over the world. May we pray to have eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to obey. May we as congregation be a church that love and serve others just as Christ loved us. May we seek and surrender to God's will in our lives. May we partner with the Holy Spirit allowing him to teach, lead and guide us each day to live in obedience as well as sharing the gospel boldly with those he's put in our paths. They also offer community small groups for all life stages that meet weekly to learn together as well as to get prayer and support. (These are key opportunities to translate what we hear on Sunday mornings into how we live our everyday lives at home, at school, with our families, friends and at church). GVBC does their best to balance nurturing their church family while also not forgetting to focus outward as well. They try to share God's love by doing outreach and loving their local community as well as supporting those who are doing the same thing overseas. The "Fun with Friends" or the "Prime Timers" (senior) group utilize their gift of hospitality to plan social events where you can meet new people and can invite your friends to have fun and do the same. GVBC is not a perfect church because a perfect church does not exist. We are imperfect people, who are redeemed by God's incredible grace and mercy, and empowered by His Spirit to share that love with others.
