When I complained they simply denied the facts even though I had dated letters and evidence of them missing Land Registry deadlines and using the wrong forms, and then they suggested that I had expected too much from them and refused to offer me any compensation. Only when it was obvious that the Legal Ombudsman would find in my favour did they cave in and pay me proper compensation, including the substantial costs of getting another solicitor to finish the job. By settling my claim there was no record with the Ombudsman or the SRA of their failures and other clients remain at risk of their incompetence. There are plenty of other firms in Birmingham who can do the job properly. Avoid Lia Solicitors.

They handled our house putrchase but it took a lot of pushing on our side to get things moving even though both parties involved did not have chain.
