I phoned first to ask some questions about prices, how they manage the dog during/after grooming etc and I am afraid to say that they were not the friendliest of people. My dog is a cross, so I could not say 'it is a dalmation/labrador etc when she asked what breed. She got a bit huffy and said she coudl not give a price over the phone even though I had said just an estimate would be good and said the dog was about the same size as a collie. Not overly friendly again when I brought the dog in which is worrying as you love your dog and want reassured they will be nice peole and will treat your dog well when you are not there. On pick up the dog looked great, well groomed and she went through what had been done. I think the palce is ok, and am sure they would be nice to your dog, but perhaps they need to look at improving their customer service?

Do not take wild animals here!…read more We found a poorly crow in the park lying on its back. The crow couldn't fly so we took it to this clinic. The clinic staff informed us on the phone that they would transfer it to the local wildlife rescue centre. The rescue centre was a 30 minute drive and we didn't have a car otherwise we would have done it ourselves. We called the clinic again two days later and found out that the crow had been put down. They said that the crow still wasn't flying and the vet decided to euthanise it. We asked what tests they did and they said that they lacked the resources to do anything thorough. Moreover, the rescue centre called us and told us that they hadn't been contacted by the clinic about the crow. The crow should have been transferred to the rescue centre with the proper facilities, like the staff told us they would do.

I've been here several times, once in a desperate attempt to save my distraught younger sister's hamster from dying and more recently, when my mum's wee cat had to get his jags. The staff are always incredibly cheerful and friendly and have great conversation with not only the pet owners bus the pets themselves, in their baby talking coos. I particularly enjoy the waiting room, where otherwise bashful locals can strike up conversations with the aid of the antics of their mutts or moggies.

Her jaw cut square, body hair left long, ears cut too short, tail stragly not bushy. Resulting in 2 weeks time another groom will have to be paid for. Ended up having to cut some of the face hair myself the next day. Therefore not value for mo ey, just as well my dog is cute enuf to wear a bad haircut for a couple of weeks. Last Saturday I had the unenviable task of taking my cat on a one way trip after two days of treatment . The vet I spoke to was sympathetic but professional. She, after my observations of the night before agreed that that putting our boy to sleep was the most humanitarian thing to do. I knew that before we went in that he wasn't coming out. She at no point tried to push further treatment on him. The deed was done with empathy and professionalism in equal amounts. When on my request I asked for the final bill I was told not to worry and they would be intouch and that I should go home. I decided that Doyle would be cremated and I asked the cost, this was given again in a empathetic manner without pressure, that I agreed. I cannot express my deepest gratitude of how we were treated. Without being glib. I have seen humans treated with less respect than was given to our Doyle. Great people with integrity and empathy. I thank you.

They have various payment plans available - we pay a fixed amount per month which covers all of Sadie's visits and prescriptions and considering how much of a Calamity Jane she is, it has been well worth it. The veterinary nurses are always so cheerful and helpful when you phone - if you're not sure whether or not an appointment is necessary, they are always happy to pop an appointment in at short notice. They are open from Monday - Friday: 9-12pm, 4-7pm Saturday: 9-11am. Saturday appointments are like gold dust. The vets are amazing and clearly adore the animals that come through their doors. Sadie loves the fuss that is always made over her (until something pointy appears that is). This veterinary clinic is the best that I've experienced - everything in plain english, they don't condescend to you, and nothing is too small. The headquarters in the West End also offers puppy training classes which we made use of - it was invaluable .. not just for training, but also socialising with other dogs. Lastly, they offer a boarding service for small animals (guinea pigs etc.) One of my friends used them for boarding and was really impressed with them.
