The staff with the office manager right there at the reception desk started talking loudly about a patient they referred to "as that old lady" who was being difficult in payer her bill. I had to walk out to the desk and tell them I could hear every word of their loud conversation and how unprofessional they were being referring to a patient as "that old lady". There are many people working in the office. The appointments I've had in the past, I was unfortunately seen by a PA. Dr sheki is young and so are most of her assistants. With age comes experience. No one answers a phone. When I call to make an appointment they then text me to chat with them. It's a very impersonal way of doing business. I've questioned them many times "does anyone here ever pick up a phone?". When I showed up for an appointment, they told me that my appointment had been canceled. They told me they called me, checked my phone and no call was received by them. This is just an awful organization and practice. Do yourself a favor, go someplace else!

Making appointments can make your hair go gray. After hanging on hold for anywhere between 5 to 18 minutes after calling the main number, you best be sure they are truthful when giving an appointment many weeks out. There are probably appts sooner if you are standing in front of a friendly office receptionist. And if you are calling to reach a doctor or his/her medical staff, good luck with that. If you are already a patient in the practice, best to ask your doctor for an extension to reach their medical assistant in case you have an emergency and need to be seen immediately. A broken bone or excruciating pain cannot wait for weeks.

Upon arrival, I presented 15-month-old X-rays and recent MRI results. The doctor determined a new X-ray was necessary. After completing the X-ray and paying my fifty-dollar copay, I was informed by the insurance coordinator that the office does not process insurance pre-approvals for Durolane and instead offers an in-house injection series for one thousand dollars out of pocket. Had I been informed of this policy beforehand, I would not have scheduled the visit.
