I NEEDED to get my nails done. And a poor new job was better than the crusty 4 week old set I had. But I walked in to now Alvarado Nail & Spa and was more than pleasantly surprised at first walking in everyone there greeted me and said hello. They listened to what I wanted and got exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be coming back. Vanessa did my nails she's awesome. But I got to meet and talk to Mayra & Julian and got to know their forte and am excited to get to have each of them do their style on my nails. My experience was so good I'm wanting to go start up getting pedicures again. Service, environment and cost all are reasonable for your selection.

Recently, I went with a friend to a salon in Mansfield and got a dip nail manicure. It was fabulous! When it was time to re-do, I wanted a local place. Everyone was friendly and the margarita good. However, my nail tech did something vastly different from my previous experience. She dipped straight into the jar of powder rather than pour powder into a separate container. I probably should've said something, but I didn't. I don't know the risk of infection, and haven't gotten one, but why chance it? If I return, I'd definitely make sure to ask for the powder to be put into a separate container. Additionally, the nails seems a little thicker than it should be. She also didn't quite get the squareval (sqaure oval) shape right on each nail. As I came in about an hour to close, I didn't really notice the shape was off on several nails. I know this shape can be difficult to get just right. I might give them another try when I can't go with my fiend to her nail salon.
