What a nightmare. This hotel has a swimming pool enclosed within a two story wrap-around building. There's a roof over the entire courtyard. This design traps and magnifies the noise level from the children and young adults in the pool. Which is fine during the day, but come on, hotel guests stay at hotels mainly to get a night of rest. The laminated info sheet in the guest rooms states the pool closes at 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights. Our first night there (Friday) at well past 11:00 the noise from the pool continued unabated. I called the front desk, and spoke with "Jas." He said the owner of the hotel had told him to leave the pool open until midnight. I pointed out the in-room document listing closing time of 11:00. He responded with "I don't care...call the manager." The next day I stopped at the front desk and spoke with a lady there who affirmed the pool should close at 11:00. Later that day I stopped at the desk and relayed to Jas what the desk had confirmed. Jas dismissed me, indicating he intended to leave the pool open. Bottom line: this is the noisiest hotel we've ever stayed at; employees respond with practices that conflict with one another and with written rules; the owner seems unwilling or unable to promulgate or enforce rules needed for the restful stay guests should be able to expect.

Don't worry about noise from the festival Saturday night. The festival ended at 5:30 pm and the city cleaned up the streets so quickly, it didn't even look like anything happened the day before. The staff was so helpful and polite. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. The workout room and hot tub was great. Parking garage next door. Rates for daily parking & in/out parking. Was a bit of maneuvering with the luggage cart to/from the garage to the hotel via the elevator. They use Uber for the complementary ride to the airport. Overall recommend the CopperLeaf.

This is a charming hotel in downtown Appleton that hits the right balance of location (plenty of…read morerestaurants, bars, and coffee nearby), room amenities (refrigerator, microwave, fireplace, coffee maker) and service. I arrived in the evening and didn't know my way around the area to find hotel parking. I called and the service staff came out to point me in the right direction - much appreciated. Speaking of parking, the only bummer is that it isn't attached to the hotel. You're parking in a city owned ramp so anyone can park there. I happened to visit during an unexpected "peak" time because the ramp was very full so that made in/out a little less convenient. Daily rate is reasonable at $6 with $10/day if you want multiple in/out access. Rooms are cozy but quite snug IMO. There isn't much moving around room between the fireplace, desk and armchair. Appreciate all these "extras" but it didn't leave much room otherwise. Small touches like luxury robes and suitcase rack were nice.

HAIR, TRASH, GRIME in the room. Stuff LEAKING FROM THE WALLS. I literally wouldn't believe it if I hadn't witnessed it with my own eyes! The pool area was also so gross. Greasy fingerprints on all of the games. Yes they were remodeling, but non of the things we experienced were because of that! SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Also.. We never mentioned our experience to the front desk. The lady working was always on the verge of tears. Upon check-in, even before she greeted us, she told us that she didn't know what she was doing. They were transitioning to a new system and she had no proper training. Management was not supporting staff and she felt completely overwhelmed. So I guess we just didn't want to add to her stress and be the annoying people complaining to her.

I had to be insistent on the phone to not book it which was annoying. There's some lack of information they provide: pool, parking and breakfast availability so we had to do some digging and ask when we checked in. We stayed here two nights. The decor is outdated. I'd say the room was decently cleaned, but they did leave a used washcloth on the shower. The worst part about this place is the noise. We were in 2402 and the sound traveled CLEARLY. I could hear conversations next door and a bit through the hallways. The door slams from other rooms woke me up at night.

I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities :-) We had a king suite that had a separate sitting room with a pull out couch, mini kitchenette complete with microwave and mini fridge. The description of a "continental" breakfast is NOT accurate, there are so many items available, not just bagels and juice. Each morning there were different items in the hot buffet *(scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, omlettes) along with several different cereal options, bakery items, fresh fruit, I could go on and on. The pool/jacuzzi is clean and actually at comfortable temperatures, and is open late (until midnight) My kids were thrilled with the fresh baked cookies they provide in the lobby and grabbed one each time we passed through. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. This will definitely be our new destination when looking for a quick getaway in the future.

Country Inn has a nice breakfast area. They also have a nice hot breakfast to get you going in the morning. The room was just the right size. I chose two queen beds. I really like the shades. One you pull down and you can kind of see through it. It blocks people from seeing in. Then you have the option of pulling the other shade down. That one is a blackout shade. I have to say when you get up in the morning, you have no idea what time it is. Nothing to say about the housekeeping. I really don't like the whole new deal with housekeeping since Covid. Most hotels do not clean your room every day like they used to. Country Inn cleans it every third day unless you request otherwise. I decided to opt out of housekeeping altogether. The shining star of Country Inn is Angel at the front desk. She is kind, friendly and genuine. Any special requests I have made she has been able to meet. She is willing to help you with any problem you might have and try to resolve it. As soon as I walked in a he remembered me and called me by name throughout my stay. That made me feel valued. I'm glad I made the switch to Country Inn. I will be a returning customer.

We had pre booked and paid with some of our loyalty points . They texted me every day telling us we needed to check in for our up coming stay . So when we got back from our kids we would have to go to our room ( key won't work ) back on the filthy elevator to get an updated key . What a pain in the rear . The rooms need some updating and deep cleaning . We had to have maintenance come with a tool and he pulled a good 12 inches of hair from the drain , so the tub could drain . Extra shout-out to Lisa, who provided us with amazing recommendations for food and transportation to/from the Packers game! It's a Hilton, so you might already have an expectation based on past experience. Temper this with being in Appleton and it's still living up the reputation. A few minor cons... * We were in the South tower (I think??), and they only have one elevator, which is fairly slow and small. * The escalator up to the parking garage stopped working on our checkout day, so we had to haul our luggage up the steps. (If there was an alternative/elevator nearby, there was no signage indicating this). * The parking facility is across the street from the hotel, which made things a bit confusing. (It wasn't too expensive, though, and it was pretty simple to get in and out). * One of the bars/restaurants looked to be closed the entire time we were there, but again... no signage. All that being said, though, there are huge benefits to staying here! * Super-clean rooms! * Very comfortable living space and beds! * Nice modern design without being pretentious or posh! * Amazing staff!! * A Starbucks on the lobby level near the front desk! * Peak location in downtown Appleton near several bars, restaurants, attractions, and Lawrence University! * Several options in the hotel itself for lounges/restaurants! The next time I stay in town, I will try to book here first! It's a great location with great amenities and a focus on quality and excellence!
