The kitchenette was clean and it is always nice to have this option available to you. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and bedding were good. The bathroom was average, although it was showing a little wear in a couple of spots. I was happy that they paid attention to my room requests and got us on a higher floor as requested. It was clean, quiet, no bugs, and the owner was super nice. The bathroom door was a little jacked up, but that's to be expected in this price range and when the clientele are tradesmen. There is a grocery store down the street 3 blocks. Gas station 1 block down the street. And a laundry mat about a mile or so up the road. So it's centrally located to everything you might need.

I don't think she meant it in a rude way, but that's not how you should talk to motel guests. Inside, the hallways and especially the room had a very strong medicinal smell. The best way to describe it is that it smelled like a retirement home on a bad day. The bath towels were a joke.
