Later they discovered a motor mount that should be replaced and again called offering options. Later I met the owner, Warran who offered to release the car after shop was closed, to pick up the car , and he is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, offering advice for future maintenance without "selling". We will definably be back to this Waveland Gem.

Returned to have the issue re-addressed; he ignored the major symptom (actual noise coming from the actual part) that we pointed out during discussion which was the same part as initial problem). He instead quoted thousands to replace items (that careful investigation would have shown) had nothing to do with the issue. To make matters worse, the quote had the potential to double, and it would have, because the things he proposed to replace were 100% not the issue. His incompetency would have cost upwards of 8K in the long run bc the repair plan was absolutely WRONG. We went elsewhere for the repair. When we returned to his shop to discuss the failure and findings from CORRECT repair; he was very unprofessional before conversation even started. He walked up saying he was "...already in a bad mood..." before conversation even began. Ultimately, he refunded (only) a portion of the costly repair and told us never to come back! As if we would. Which, ironically, is 100% confirmation that this guy lacks critical thinking skills when it matters most. Because after all the wasted money and additional expense-why would we.

Whether that's a good thing or not will be for you to decide. First I would like to begin with a review of Dolly's as it exists now. Then, if I haven't lost you, I will share a story from the good ole days. Dolly's is a large gas station/convenience store/prepared food place in beautiful Kiln, MS. If you happen to be traveling down Hwy 603, this is one of the best places to stop for food, fuel and beer. The pumps are easy to enter, fuel and exit. All grades of fuel, and diesel are available. Inside is where things get interesting. Dolly's has a reasonably good selection of food items as well as household goods. If you are camping, or live nearby, this would be where you should stop for late night supply runs rather than driving all the way to Bay St. Louis. In addition to those items, you will find a large selection of beer, primarily domestics, but it is plentiful and perfect for the long road trip to your honeymoon (more on that later). The prepared food items are similar to many roadside stations in this part of the country. The potato logs are basically a large baking potato quartered and "chicken" fried. Three logs for a $1 is one hell of a deal. Add some ketchup and you will thank me later. The pizza stick was also quite the bargain, but lest tasty. It was basically pizza rolls joined together into a stick by some sort of food voodoo magic. The last, and possibly the most important thing about Dolly's is that they allow smoking. That's right, smoking inside of a gas station where food is prepared. I know what you're thinking. It's 2014 and smoking is known to cause cancer, burns and other various issues, but this is America. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Dolly's for goes these pansy ass liberal views and lets you smoke as much as humanly possible. Hell Yeah! Merica! OK. If I didn't lose you I will try and tell a story from the old days. I was about 19 and some buddies and I were headed to Dolly's for potato logs. As we arrived we were greeted by a jovial fellow who informed us that his truck had killed a couple miles back and he asked for our help. Being the helpful group we were, we offered our assistance. The ride back to the guy's truck was unique. Imagine three dudes crammed in the back of a 74 Nova and me and the guy up front. He had quite the way with words when he asked me: "ever had a piece of steel in your eye?". He explained that he had and that it was no fun. Apparently he built chicken coops for a living and it was quite the occupational hazard. He told us that he always traveled with at least a six pack of beer, but this was his honeymoon weekend so he had a 12 pack back at his truck. He told us that we would each get a beer if we helped him get his truck started. Once we arrived back at his truck we gave him a push and off he went. He did stop back at Dolly's and give us those beers. Straight from a Natural Light 12 pack too. Apparently that's the only way to go when you've just gotten married. So what does this story have to do with Dolly's? Not much, but it explains why I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this gas station. The end.

Everything was actually good too. The Beaver Nuggets lived up to the hype, especially the sea salted caramel version. The Cajun Boil chips had a really good kick to them, and the sweet roast pecans were dangerously easy to keep eating. The store itself is huge, clean, and honestly kind of impressive the first time you see it. Tons of food options, snacks everywhere, and the whole place runs surprisingly smoothly considering how busy it gets. Staff was friendly, shelves were stocked, and the bathrooms were as clean as everyone says. Definitely more than just a gas station stop. It's basically a road trip experience on its own.

After fueling up the Maverick I decided to visit the restroom which was immaculate as we all have become accustomed too at any Buc-ee's location. I wanted a chopped brisket bbq sandwich for breakfast but figured that wasn't going to happen at this hour so I opted for two brisket tacos over the large variety of breakfast options. I also grabbed a ex-large Dr. Pepper and a square of fudge before continuing my trip eastbound. The brisket was fresh and plentiful but a little disappointing being it's just brisket on a tortilla with no sauce so it was rather bland I purchased two for $6.99 each and wasted one, the fudge was delicious I should of purchased a small box instead of a single piece. One of the things that was disturbing was they had a few panhandlers at the entrance asking ever customer for money to the point it was annoying and irritating I asked one of them if he was hungry and offered to buy him breakfast but he refused and just wanted money, so he was disappointed as I was with the brisket taco. This gas station was reasonably priced and had everything inside you need for your trip wherever. It is nothing spectacular. So why the 4 stars for a typical experience? The view. You stand pumping your own gas and stare at the beach and the water. The pumps did have the tab to leave the pump open without holding the handle, which is awesome, in my opinion. My most recent visit, no one was on the beach, but just looking out at the Gulf of Mexico with a boat going by was the perfect momentary distraction. It was wonderful. Great place to stop for the necessities and get a great view.
