The nurse and staff were all so kind in explaining this to me so I scheduled the second visit. After having pleasant conversations with the aesthetician and nurse, Dr. Khan comes in and seemed different than our first visit (which btw I thought fondly of her from), in this visit she hastily took my measurements again and explained that my breasts were now much more saggy and I needed not just implants, but a lift. I didn't understand her thought process so I explained that and that I didn't want more scars which would be involved with a lift. She then said, "Let me put this into terms you'll understand, you know when you fill a grocery bag with more stuff and it just sags..." ... I think asked, "Do you think my nipples are going to be downward facing if I don't do the lift too?" And she said "I don't know, but that's why you come to me and not Dr. Google." Honestly, I just didn't understand why I couldn't get a better explanation for the lift and maybe I do need one, but if she was treating me like this during consult then I didn't think she would take any of my other questions very well either. My feelings were hurt, I was so excited to schedule surgery coming in, but she didn't seem interested in helping me so I decided to just leave and booked an appointment with another surgeon in the area. After losing over 200 pounds, I was finally ready to remove my excess skin and close this chapter of my journey. I went into surgery feeling hopeful and was told I'd be receiving an extended thigh lift -- one that would properly address the severity of my loose skin down to my knees. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. My results were uneven, incomplete, and left me with deformities and no definition in my thighs. The emotional and physical toll has been devastating, made worse when I was told I'd need to pay again for a revision to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time. Since then, I've consulted with five other board-certified plastic surgeons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Dr. Al Aly, who literally wrote the textbook chapters on massive weight loss body contouring. Every single one confirmed my results are not consistent with a properly executed MWL thigh lift and identified major technical errors. Ellory is always smiling when you walk in the door, Caroline is helpful with my billing and Brilliant Distinctions points, and Robin (Dr. Jordan's nurse) is extremely attentive. To set the record straight: not once did he ask any mental health questions, perform any kind of evaluation, or have the right to make such a reckless claim about me. The imaging portion took under a minute, and the moment I asked to see a few small adjustments, he became visibly impatient and dismissive. He walked out and returned saying he "can't fix my brain" and that I'd be "nitpicking every angle." That comment was degrading, completely uncalled for, and crossed every line of professionalism. Declining a surgery is one thing. Lying publicly about a patient's mental health to justify disrespectful behavior is another. His response is not only dishonest but manipulative, and it shows exactly the type of arrogance I experienced in that room. I stand by every single word of my review..no patient deserves to be spoken to or treated this way. ------------------------------------ I am deeply hurt and disappointed by my recent consultation with Dr. Toledo. This was all because I wanted a consultation longer than a few mins to make sure I understood the results before investing my hard-earned money for something I've wanted for my birthday/grad/Christmas gift to myself. He then referred us to three local surgeons, and that's where things became confusing. One strongly advised against surgery, saying it would likely make things worse. The second said surgery was absolutely needed. We were never able to reach the third, despite numerous attempts. At Dr. Derderian's request, we sent him the other doctors' chart notes--but he never responded. When we followed up, we were told he now recommends medical tattooing instead of surgery. Trusting his expertise, we spent over $10,000 on two rounds of medical tattooing--with very minimal improvement. We then called and explained everything, hoping to get an in-person appointment with Dr. Derderian so he could examine Ava's scar and give us direct guidance on whether surgery might still be a viable option-- if it were done locally. I made it very clear we were not asking him to perform the surgery himself, just that we wanted his opinion after a proper, in-person evaluation. His office agreed and we booked the appointment. We also booked flights and hotels--spending over $2,000 that we now cannot recover. Just days before our appointment, we got a call saying Dr. Derderian was canceling--because he "wants us to pursue surgery locally." Again, we explained we weren't asking him to operate, only to assess Ava in person and give us his expert insight. We were met with a cold and dismissive, "That's too bad," and no attempt to help us navigate this situation. Dr. Derderian didn't even call us himself--he had his staff do it. He cancelled the appointment even with knowing how much money we spent on travel expenses, and he knew that we were only looking for his insight, not asking for him to do the surgery. SAVE YOURSELF FROM PAIN AND SUFFERING! I had 3 procedures done, breast augmentation implant exchange, lipo 360 with a BBL in September 2022. I developed so many issues and complications, not to mention that my bbl is lumpy and uneven, parts of my skin have developed a terrible pigment that is more than likely permanent. My breast augmentation had so many things go wrong I had to pay over $2,000 elsewhere to get testing done, CT scans, ultrasound and medication because the doctor kept telling me that "Nothing was wrong with me, that I came in with a larger breast"! Absurd, I had perfectly symmetrical breast pre-op, and even if that had been the case, as a professional surgeon why didn't he suggest getting different implant sizes to correct the problem? That is because my breast were perfectly even prior to my surgery. My lipo areas are lumpy and uneven and I have developed so much fibrosis. Mind you I followed all of my post-op instructions to the T, I received at least 20 lymphatic massages, his technique is just not it. He did not leave me snatched, I am not a big person at that I'm 135lbs, and you would think my results would be dramatic to great. My entire experience here after my surgery has been terrible, from my breast incision opening and it draining heavily after 4 weeks to the doctor ignoring all of my concerns telling me nothing is wrong. Thankfully I was able to find a Board Certified PLASTIC surgeon who perfumed emergency surgery on my breast and put me on heavy antibiotics as my implant had developed a biofilm, he also drained over 100ml of fluid to my breast.
