My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. Physician was excellent. Very thorough and detailed at explaining everything that was going on. You could tell he is not a "cookie cutter" or "cookbook doctor" where I feel they don't think analytically but look up a typical cookbook recipe to fix the problems. You can tell the Doctor has extensive experience and his approach is individualized. My daughter who really liked the doctor and was very happy being there. Rare for a child to like doctors office. I am so grateful that they would help us even though they were closed, lights off. Grateful for Physician for his prescribed plan of treatment. Thinking about switching my personal physician to him.

She is a PCP not a specialist and I am thankful she has referred me to some excellent doctors, who see me on a regular basis for other issues. She is in contact with them and is up to date on my overall health and care. Booking and communication is easier than ever now with the online portal. I'm not happy that she had to sell her practice, but it is almost impossible for a doctor to be independent now days, and completely understand the reasoning behind it. Not only was the he disrespectful, but he rushed through the appointment without allowing me to ask questions. When I tried to seek clarification on my health concerns, I was brushed off and told to save my questions for the next appointment. This lack of attentiveness and dismissive attitude left me feeling unheard and undervalued, and disrespected as a patient. I would not recommend Fadi Wehbi to anyone seeking professional and thorough medical care. This guy shouldn't be allow to practice as a doctor. Truly a horrible experience.

She said he was finishing with another patient and would join the call soon. Then she called back claiming we weren't in the waiting room (we were -- and had been for an hour). She told us to log out and back in. When we did, the link said the appointment was canceled or rescheduled. They then tried calling me from a personal cell. We answered, but Dr. Fetters couldn't hear me and said it was a bad connection. This happened three different times. I eventually asked them to call my husband's cell instead. Dr. Fetters asked if we lived "out in the sticks" (we live in a major suburb) and asked if we had 5 bars of signal. I told him I had 1 bar and my husband had 2 bars. They finally reached us and what followed was a bizarre, dismissive 2-3 minute appointment. He brushed off my extremely RARE autoimmune disease as "just a nuisance" and said autoimmune conditions are something they "treat all day, every day." He claimed it was all environmental and tried to get me to run an extensive toxin panel, something I can order myself since I'm a Naturopath, which made the suggestion even more pointless. I explained that the autoimmune disease that I believe I have is incredibly rare (1 in 100,000), genetic, and that my grandmother died from it. This particular condition is degenerative and most people eventually end up in a wheelchair, unable to walk, and unable to take care of themselves...but sure, it's just a "nuisance." (Eye roll) Instead of hearing me, he started questioning my use of Amlexanox, a peptide that he prescribed me five years ago for MCAS. It has helped me with food reactions but that's it. It has nothing to do with my autoimmune condition, and yet he fixated on it. He talked over me repeatedly. Every time I tried to speak, he redirected, minimized, or interrupted. I eventually hung up. I'm tired. Tired of being dismissed. Tired of being talked over. Tired of begging for help from people who clearly don't want to listen. If you're chronically ill, disabled, or dealing with complex diagnoses, be cautious here. My experience felt like a complete waste of energy, time, and hope.

The waiting room is huge, but I think it belies the short waiting time. There have never been more than half a dozen people in the waiting room, some waiting for lab results after a consultation. The staff is pleasant and professional with a couple of exceptions. Dr. Steenbergen was welcoming, polite, professional and thorough. He listened to me and provided his assessment of some treatment options I suggested. Although our discussion was interrupted a couple of times, I felt I had his full time and attention for the duration of the appointment. The physician assistant, Joel Westbury, is also excellent. In fact, I might prefer to see him in the future rather than Dr. Steenbergen. And particularly when there is an urgency for an appointment, I was able to see Westbury much sooner than Steenbergen. Also, there is a phlebotomist on staff which negates the need to go downstairs to the in house lab. The practice appears to be fully computerized. Prescriptions are electronically transmitted to the pharmacy of my choice. After each visit I receive a printed summary of the visit by mail for my records, including any procedures, vitals, and prescriptions.
