In the other half of the store, are brands which are far more expensive. My friend and I examined an exquiste stiletto in a neutal colour with embroiderie, around £120. 'Great for a wedding!' I decided. 'Or just round the house' said my friend. 'Yes, with nothing else on' I concurred. Really besides real elagance like that, you get The Really Useful Shoe, The Flatty, Trouser Shoes, and all points in between those. Some of their mules are great, flattering and summery. There is every type of shoe Under The Sun. Oh, but the boots! Now, I do have a boot fetish and I get most of my boots here. Usually I wait for the sale and get two pairs maybe. The staff are good fun, enjoy my visits with a certain friend, and are helpful to boot!!! Oh, the good ones are the best!

The shop sells many brands of shoes such as Playboy, timberland and skecher, with many of the lines on display. The layout of the shop is mainly open planned with some central displays and has a mysterious feel to it. You have to request your size of any particular shoe so none of this grabbing off the shelf stuff from stores such as Primark. Staff are always helpful and serve you right through from trying on to walking out the door. Other in store items include bags scarves gloves and belt but there is limited stock of these. Prices vary but there are some great offers in store and failing that they tock brands rarely seen else where.

If you are a handbag lady, this shop is for you as it stocks a range of colours, styles and prices. I'm a one bag girl, but now I'm going to get a little black number to use with my black coat. There are small backpacks - the type school children use for as little as £5. The beach bags/summer shoppers are varied and some are so pretty and feminine. The staff are very friendly indeed and will recommend a better option if you explain what you want. There are some friends I won't go in here with - I'll never get out!!

The quality is not particularly good, although I think that's more luck, as there are some good ones. Everything is laid out in sizes, rather than style so it takes a lot of looking to find what you're after. If you have a lot of time to search, then this may well turn up a bargain for you.

The store is airy and well laid out, in size order so you can easily check what they have available in your size, the trick is to not look at any other sizes otherwise you can get tempted with other styles and then be disappointed when they don't have them. It worth looking out for offers here as they do good deals for example a discount when you bring in an old pair of shoes.

I feel this store mostly caters for older people and they do have a lot of sales. If a mum is in here with a pushchair, she's done for really as it is quite cramped. I do find as I walk in that the store appears cluttered at first glance. As it;s such a big store, it;s based over three floors with escalators through the middle. There is a lift available but it's very slow and considering the baby items are on the top floor, most people with younger children will need to use the lift and find themselves waiting for a while. The queues for the tills can get very long in busy periods and there will be a long wait. I find most people buy a lot of items at a time in here as it is so cheap.

Never purchased anything there myself despite multiple visits, however friends have but have encountered issues when trying to refund faulty garments. Personally I avoid this store but you may have a better experience!

The ground floor is the ladies store Dorothy Perkins stocking everything from coats to underwear price are average and the sizes are well made. The layout of the shop is easy to understand with different sections such as maternity and petit clearly marked, shoes and bags are at the back near the fitting rooms. I have personally always found the staff easy t talk to and helpful. Up stairs is the men's shop Burtons. Dorothy Perkins seems to attract few people for a lot of the year but at sale time it fills up quicklybut then there are some great bargains.
