If you're booking for a group with a minor, they prefer to have the waiver printed and signed before arrival. However we were able to fill out another copy of the waiver on their tablets to start our group appointment. The two hour block was the perfect amount of time. By the end we were so exhausted we couldn't keep going. It has been over 10 years since we last climbed at a different gym so it was really great to get back into top roping. The staff gave us a quick tutorial to show us how the equipment works and discussed safety. It was a great refresher and extremely helpful. They offer equipment rentals, including harnesses, chalk, and shoes, also snacks and drinks are available. This was a lot of fun and we'll be back soon.

The facility is spacious, had nice clean bathrooms/changing rooms, a hand washing station, and cubbies. The climbing walls start off "beginner" and get progressively harder. There are various options for booking parties, monthly memberships, or attending open climb. You can rent equipment (shoes, harnesses), and buy chalk. There were kids climbing from five/six years of age all the way to grandparents. We will definitely be back in the future!

We were here for a birthday party and instead of being fully staffed having enough staff there to teach and help all the kids climb they make each parent be with 1 kid...oops well I have two kids meaning that 1 of them couldn't participate. Absolutely absurd. 2. If you are FAT or TALL or your kid is FAT you will not fit in the small triangle that you must humiliating squeeze though to be able to do the "caving" I saw a grown woman crying because guess what ...if you don't fit your kids can't participate. You need to go with them. and for gooood reason....the caves are pure terror... 3. CAVE trauma ...Children including my own daughter got stuck and lost in the "caves" my 11yr old was banging on the wall for over 20mins until a random person found her, you can't hear her because it's loud in there. I saw another two kids terrified and hysterical looking though a small plastic window in the wall..they were stuck and NO staff helped a parent had to try to go in and find them but got lost. 4. The rock climbing itself was not fun at all the treks up are *VERY* short and most are super easy even for kids...ropes dangling all over, just awful. I've been to several climbing gyms and was a novice climber for fun in my younger years. I've never been to such a poorly organized kids party where adults and children alike were crying. If you are thin go alone and plan to avoid the caves you might like it there. Otherwise avoid. See the triangle that all adults and all children must fit though for your kids to even go to the birthday party if that alone is not awful enough if you don't fit or happen to be claustrophobic there is no staff there that can go on with the kids. Dirty and it's clear that the mats, walls and definitely the "caves" do not get cleaned. Avoid at all costs.

When the hour was closer to being up the kids became a bit antsy so the only suggestion I have for future events like this is a bounce house or something to help entertain the kids who decided they're done climbing before the time was up. The idea of rock climbing was something I always had in the back of my mind, like it would be cool, but it never seemed accessible. Bobby got me to a place where I was game to try a big vertical climb. Something I would have walked by 100x thinking no way can I ever... Well I DID, and I am awestruck. I'm hooked! The owner, Bobby, was personable and friendly from start to finish; very down to earth. He hooked us up with Oliver, one of his guides, who did a great job of keeping things moving, and selecting some classic routes for us. He even went so far as to share some delicious local jerky with us. We really enjoyed the time together and felt like he catered the experience to our skill level appropriately. We also appreciated how prompt he was, and that he was mindful of ways to ensure we hit numerous climbs, even if routes might've already been taken by others. We would definitely recommend High Xposure to newcomers and seasoned climbers alike!

I love that they cater to both grigris and atc use. The walls are much higher than in our regular gym and are refreshingly challenging. The work out area is spacious and has a nice variety of equipment in good condition. The price for a day pass was very reasonable at only $15. The gym is clean and visually appealing. I unfortunately got there to late for the yoga class but would have loved to have tried that. Looked at the schedule and they have a nice selection of classes, from Vinyasa to strength. At the end of the month they even run a yoga class where the proceeds go to charity. We will definitely go back again the next time we are in town!

The Hannacroix Ravine, a Nature Conservancy Preserve.  It is located in Clarksville, NY, off Cass…read moreRoad, and we had no problems finding the preserve using the directions on the Nature Conservancy website and Google Maps.  There are signs along the road and a small parking lot that holds two cars. I've heard it doesn't really get busy, so parking shouldn't be a concern, but just what I was told. (Note that the Hannacroix Ravine is different from the Hannacroix Preserve in New Baltimore, NY). We started off at the trailhead.  There isn't a kiosk at the beginning of the trail, so you might want to save a copy of the trail map to your phone beforehand. The trail meanders through woods, and is mostly flat or only a slight elevation change. My knees have been bothering me lately, so this was a great trail for me. The kids only complained moderately, so overall a success. There isn't a whole lot to do as far as exploring until you come to the creek. We had fun checking out the creek and wandering both up and downstream. We found some fish, newts, crayfish, and more. Being September, the stream was very low. Once we were done exploring the creek, we headed back the way we came. You can also do a loop, which puts you out to the road, and then you have to walk back a bit on the road. I don't think the road is too busy, but we figured the rest of the loop was similar to the first half, so we just went back how we had come in. I would say it was a couple miles from the trailhead to the creek. Overall, a pleasant hike with some nice exploring along the creek.
