I love being able to email Mike my updates, mileage, questions, etc. He's very prompt in his replies and very thorough in his answers. And if I do need to call, Heidi is super helpful and friendly. And he's been a huge help twice in recommending other services - he recommended the most amazing mortgage broker (Cindi Taylor - see my review) and he helped me out with roofer recommendations. I saw him on Monday and the first thing he said to me was, "What was the worst thing that happened to you in 2025 and what was the best thing that happened to you in 2025?" He's going through all my forms and documents and I'm telling him about my life. Then he says, "You never sent back the questionnaire from the Christmas card I sent you." He and his family send Christmas cards every year but this year they included a couple of pre-stamped cards with the question "What is your favorite holiday memory"... something like that. I meant to fill one out but misplaced them. I know he must have sent hundreds if not thousands of these cards so for him to know that I didn't return mine was pretty impressive. He also has a soft spot for feral cats and consistently gets me around the same amount of money back on my tax return every year. He remembers the special little things I qualify for and is meticulous about counting them towards my return. So... if you're looking for a good tax man, check out Scott Bird at Tax-xpress. I have had a renters insurance policy with Greg Jung for more than 6 years, and have never needed…read moreto file a claim. 18 months ago, I rented a storage unit for some of our stuff, since we don't have a garage here at our apartment. I confirmed with Josie Lew in Greg's office that the storage unit items would be covered, so I declined the insurance from the storage company. Monday, August 28, 2023, we went to empty out our storage and were met with a DISASTER, as rats had got into the unit and defecated/urinated all over most of our belongings. There were a few things that we could salvage, mostly because they were metal or plastic that could be easily cleaned, but approximately half the items in the unit were soiled too much to even load into our SUV. All in all, we lost close to $1000.00 in replacement value. I was confident when I contacted Greg Jung's office this morning that I could easily file a claim to get this taken care of, only to discover that this kind of damage isn't covered for rental units. Rodent excrement carries any number of diseases . . . we couldn't even load the discarded items into our vehicle to haul to a dumpster, and the items we were able to clean (in the passageway in front of the storage unit) will still need to be cleaned again before we can safely use them again. What were we paying insurance for, if this sort of thing isn't covered????? We could have called it 'vandalism' (technically, it WAS vandalism by rat) and perhaps that might have been covered, but I'm pretty sour on State Farm right now. We have switched companies for our renters insurance. State Farm was DEFINITELY "NOT THERE" for us.
