it seems as if they only know how to give military base hair cut quality . if you want a cut that is not comparable to cost cutters I would suggest staying far away. if you don't care about the blend of your cut and are older then I guess it's your place to go. This place is very hit or miss depending on the stylist you get. Typically the hair cuts are okay for the price. Last haircut I got the stylist did not cut it how I asked. When I told her this she insisted on blaming me and arguing with me about it. I said it was alright and just a misunderstanding but she kept on going. Instead of dropping it and just apologizing she kept on going. When I was trying to pay she had the audacity to suggest I should tip her. I wouldn't have bothered with the review because I understand mistakes happen but the fact she argued with me about messing up the haircut really isn't good. I've been going here for the past 6 months because it's closer than a lot of other places. Just save yourself the headache and pay a little more for a cut somewhere else. read more

1st chair closest to the door gives a good haircut and general concern for how your hair will look. The two times I got my haircut with her were good experiences and I generally walked away happy. Today, I needed to get a haircut because the length up top was too long. I put too much faith in the barber that was furthest from the door, and almost near the last chair. I asked for a medium fade and a trim on the top. She shaved the whole left side of my head and faded the right side. I literally look like I'm ready for the apocalypse at this point. I should be in Dr. Dre's California music video I can literally audition for a mad max movie and 100% get the part. It looks like someone slapped a bad wig on the top of my head and said "yeah, fam this is good.. I guess." Jokes aside, this is the first problem I've had with this barbershop. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe I got a weird head. I wouldn't recommend going to her if you really care about your haircut. TLDR: First couple chairs, they're good. From my experience, last-ish chair- is probably gonna get me fired from my position UPDATE: Don't get a haircut here. I went in for a low fade. The barber went up and I told her after that I was trying to grow the aide out from the previous time it got messed up. Anthony Gall in the last week My son and husband came in for hair cuts. Sadly, they were not listening well. The elderly lady took my spouse back. He expressed he wanted a one on the sides and an inch on top. She clearly only understood the one on the sides..... She buzzed him. I believe she may have made a mistake at some point and then choose to just buzz it all. How do you not show them the mirror as you go? The Chinese lady took my son who is age ten. My spouse asked them to just clean it up on the sides and to leave an inch on top. This woman buzzed him also. We have never. Buzzed our kids. Never! My son said a one Inch on sides and a two inch top. They then asked my spouse again and he said ok. Your employee did not listen to two people on this. How is it possible that they messed up two hair cuts in one 1/2 hour? Was it a prank or dare? I called to talk to the owner, I guess the older women is the owner. She got on the phone and said she remembers them. She told me she explained the legenths to them. My husband says she did but was talking about the sides because he said an inch on top. I explained to her that. Plus in 10 years this has never happened. She became super defensive claiming forty years in the biz. I then realized we would get no resolution. So, I stated continuing on the phone was pointless. She was not willing to understand or show compassion or admit any mistakes. It's too bad they don't have you facing the mirror. They have you face a wall until done. He would have stopped it. My son came home upset. It is wrong. *Great clips is more but you see the mirror the entire time. My kid asked for a 2 on the sides and a 3 on top with rounded neck. He came home with a bald ass military cut and an uneven neck. Once he got in the car and got his glasses on he started bawling saying he's going to get made fun of at school. He hates it and i don't blame him. My hubby asked for his hair to be evened out to the same length as his beard and sides. He was also buzzed. Horrible lack of communication. Seems like they just do whatever they want. 1. First time here. Walked in and was not greeted, just rudely told to "take a number, we'll get to you when we can" by an older blonde woman. 2. Female barber with tattoos frustrated with customer because he was requesting her to fix his hair. Sarcastically stated "anything else?" to him in front of other customers. 3. NOW to my haircut. Female with tattoos cut it the way I asked. No complaints there. However, couple hours after I went home and showered I started getting a lot of bumps and extremely itchy. These are not ingrown hairs as my head has never reacted this way after a cut. Spoke with another barber at a different shop and they believe it's from dirty clippers. 4. Going to doctor because it could be a fungus from these dirty clippers. So thanks. $13 haircut just turned into a lot more. read more

If you are African American don't even enter...they don't know what a hairline is I asked for a ball fade and got my hairline removed and the sides of my head just bald ....it was the lady closest to the door...nothing racial...but I'd rather someone tell me they don't know how to cut my hair then cut and have me look crazy...don't recommend this place to my worst enemy read more

THIS PLACE SUCKS!! Plain and simple!! I went in for a military haircut because IT SAYS MILITARY HAIRCUTS ON THE DOOR!! I'm not military, but I like military-style haircuts. Most of the barbers were standing outside smoking. Nice image. As I prepared to engage the male barber inside that wasn't working or smoking, a female barber rushed in from her cigarette and stole me away. Weird. I asked how much cuts were. She says 12 bucks. I said "great, I'd like it high and tight. Three quarters of an inch on top. Please fade the sides and back down to bald. And taper the corners round so I don't get owl horns." No problem apparently because she didn't say anything. She zipped through it in about 10 minutes and put the mirror in front of me... I already know its not gonna be good after only 10 minutes...My hair looked like a punk rocker's. Top was scraggly and not even close to 3/4 of an inch. I said "I need you to straight razor the sides and back please." What part of "sides and back bald" does she not understand? She said, "Well that's $26". No mention of this at the beginning when she said 12 and I asked for bald. I said "I guess we're done here". Went up front to pay, handed her my card. She said, "would you like to leave anything?" "Excuse me?" "As a tip." Awkward. Usually, you're handed a receipt, and write in the tip you want to leave so it's not awkward. I felt compelled in this situation, so I left her a buck to alleviate the awkwardness. FILTHY FLOORS, CRAP HAIRCUTS, AWKWARD SERVICE. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE, but I HIGHLY recommend that military personnel stay away. These haircuts won't pass inspection. 12 bucks is a great price, but you get what you pay for. Poor service and "barber" lacks skill to be called such. Went in for a cut and shave. Neither turned out well or even acceptable. For a haircut, all I needed was a straight buzz/zero guard all around the head. That's it. Come home to find patches of unclipped hair on top of my head and markedly uneven side burns. As for the shave, patches left over as well, and not short stubble but hairs that could be clipped. Returned for her to fix it, and she only repaired the haircut. When I asked for a partial refund, she refused saying she "worked hard." Worked hard leaving patches of hair all over my head? I imagine that would be an embarrassing and unacceptable outcome for any real barber. Apparently this place just opened. Well, not off to a great start. read more

Sucks at cutting hair asked for nothing off the top and a fade on the sides and back. She proceeded to cut off my hair on top and made it very uneven. I have been consistently going to Classic Barber Shop for the past 2 years, and I've had numerous barbers there without issue. Today was different, and I received the same treatment I'm sure many guys can relate to, you explain what you want done, and once finished realize your input was ignored and you received a "standard" haircut. Today I requested a low fade, indicating visually with my hands where I wanted the fade, with 2 inches left on top. What I received was a high fade, very high, with a little more than an inch left on top. The saving grace was that it was a good hair cut, but it was clearly not what I requested. Despite my previous good experiences there, burn me once and I will not return to spend my hard earned dollars. I tip well, rounded today up to $20 on an $11.25 haircut despite the results, as I do appreciate service industry workers who consistently have to work nights and weekends to put food on the table. However, being fully willing as I am to tip well, I also fully expect these workers to be attentive and take care of me as well. read more

Friendly and quick says it all. The cuts are inexpensive and for the most part very quick. The location is near to my home, which makes this my barber of choice. The barbers are nice and easy to carry a conversation with. My only real beef would be the turnover in employees. Over the last year I have had to switch from 3 different barbers because every time I become a regular, they end up leaving for whatever reason. I used to go another barber shop thats not very far from there but it was $20 haircut and consistency in getting the same haircut was my problem. If you need a quick, clean, inexpensive cut this military style barber shop can't be beat. Fades and close crops are the specialties, these ladies are barbers not stylists. Went in 25 minutes before their close time and was told they aren't taking anyone else because they might not finish by 7PM even though no one was was waiting. First small business I've seen turn away a customer well before the posted hours on their door/online. Especially frustrating when you leave work early and went out of my way to go there for a cut that I needed for tomorrow. I'm a regular at the place and tip 5 dollars on my weekly cuts. First time at this barber. Specializes in military cuts. Was recommended by a friend to come here and it was pretty good. I haven't been to a barber in years since my wife cuts it but since I'm out of town, I needed something to keep me in military standards. I kind of told them what I wanted and the lady said she would take care of me. Got the haircut I wanted! She knew what I wanted without me being super specific. The only downside is there is a pretty big wait. Lots of people waiting for a haircut but that obviously means their good. read more

I was calling barbershops all morning looking for a place to get a basic buzz cut at a decent price. I'm a girl, and it's hard to find places who won't overcharge, and/or try to rip me off. I get my haircut twice a month, and I always tip so decent price and good service is what I look for. Called ahead and they answered all my questions. Came in later as a walk-in, and was seen in less than 15 minutes. Got a great cut and was charged the price I was told on the phone. Despite being a little out of my way, I will be returning because a good haircut and good service is always worth it to me. I have gone to this location about a dozen times now. Half the time you do not get what you asked for. I have consistently asked for a low fade with a 3. This has resulted in a much shorter high fade more often than not. I have also never asked for more than 1/4 inch off the top. More than half the time this results in an inch or more being taken off the top. I will not go to this location any longer. read more

I don't get my hair cut anywhere else if I can avoid it. Hard to beat a $10 regular cut. I usually get a medium fade, skin on the bottom cut and I have yet to be disappointed. They also open really early for any military folks that need a last minute haircut after leave. read more
